Romeo- Alas, I will never be with Rosaline because she will not marry me. I would rather die than have to live the rest of my life in agony without Rosaline. (soliloquy) (Paris comes to sit next to Romeo) Paris- I can see we both do not want to be in that party, why are you out here? Romeo- I fell in love several days ago but she does not love me back nor will she ever be able to marry me. Paris- How strange, for I to have fallen in love a few days ago but I will have to wait two years before I can marry her. (Benvolio approaches) Benvolio- Come along Romeo, we said we cheer you up and sitting in the garden is making you more depressed. Romeo- I refuse to go because I know that there is no one that could replace Rosaline, so I decline …show more content…
Benvolio- I am therefore forced to say that you do not love her any where near as much as you think you do. Paris- Leave him alone and let him deal with his depression as he finds fit. (turns and notices Paris) Benvolio- What brings you away from the party Paris? Have you also been rejected by your true love? Paris- Yes, I have, but my problem is not as bad as Romeo’s, for I will have to wait two years before I can marry my Juliet. Benvolio- Come along you two I think you both might be over attached to your girlfriends. Besides there is no point complaining about what one can not have. Paris- Perhaps, there is something that we can do to help Romeo with his trouble. Romeo- What is it? Paris- I am a wealthy and influential person, if she were to see you with me and you are dressed very impressively while in a very expensive carriage, if she sees you so important and impressive she might change her mind and marry you. Benvolio- Think rationally you two, that will not work because she has sworn not to marry. Romeo- I know, and this painful love (antithesis) leaves me with no other options than to kill myself. Benvolio- Romeo, that is a rather extreme solution to the problem at hand. Perhaps you should reconsider that idea and look for someone
told Juliet to marry Paris. "I think it best you married with the county". (Romeo & Juliet,
or what to do or how to stop Romeo. But if Friar Lawrence would have delivered the letter himself,
Romeo fell in love with Juliet the moment he saw her and wants Juliet to know that he will love her more than anything else, would
I chose Dog Days Are Over by Florence and the Machine for act one, scene three. In the song it talks about being happy and that the bad days are over. Romeo in act three, scene three meets Juliet and he’s now really happy. “Leave all your love and your longing behind” Romeo left his longing and love for Rosaline behind and became happy with Juliet. “Happiness hit her like a train on a track” this describes how suddenly Romeo fell in love with Juliet.
“Just to cure it cause I can't ignore it if it's love” because Romeo is unable to stop loving Juliet whom is his whole families enemy. He loves Juliet and he can not ignore the love he feels for her. Also, the first lyric I mentioned is in a way answered by the ending of Romeo and Juliet because his cure is suicide of him and Juliet both.
Romeo has completely forgotten Rosaline, a character Romeo cried and was depressed about. He instead pleads with the Friar to marry him to his newfound love, Juliet. Count Paris is also self-centered. This is shown when he talks to Lord Capulet about the wedding. Capulet says:
One of the final people to make their mark on Romeo and Juliet is Paris. Paris is seeking Juliet’s hand in marriage and, from the start, is turned down as Capulet tells him, (quote). Capulet explains to Paris that he still believes Juliet to be too young to marry and that the offer is okay by him but that it must be accepted by Juliet as well. As Capulet goes on, he continues to encourage Paris to look for other suitors and even invites Paris to the party so that he may find other women there. As more events come into place and Juliet becomes distraught from Romeo’s banishment, Paris again comes into play. This time, however, he creates devastating results. Capulet, seeing his daughter’s anguish, decides to help her regain joy by marrying her off to Paris. This seemingly harmless act sets off the entire plan, to which Juliet drinks poison to fake her death and get out of the marriage. The rest of the plan is that Friar Lawrence should send a letter to Romeo in Manchua, and then he would arrive to take Juliet away when she awakes. Here, an unexpected change occurs, a change for the worse. Romeo fails to receive the letter and is informed of Juliet’s death, not
She says she will not marry now but when she marries, Romeo will be her husband.
Well, now you know Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t of been happy together if they have lived. Romeo was so quick to act in every situation, so he couldn’t really control his emotions. Both of them barely knew each other , and they only knew each
Romeo is convinced there can be no other girl for him. Mercutio tries to reason with him that there are other eligible girls in the city. Mercutio even encourages Romeo to attend the ball to see other girls, but Romeo is stuck on Rosaline. This is one example of Romeo's immature infatuation highlighted by Mercutio's sensible reasoning.
Romeo seems to be miserable as he is in love with Rosaline yet Rosaline is not in love with him. Once Romeo learns that the Capulet’s are holding a party at which Rosaline is attending he risks his life just to be with the one he loves. Romeo is passionate for love.
After hearing about Romeo's banishment, Juliet becomes distressed, and locks herself in her room. Old Capulet converses with Paris about her change in heart, and converses with him about the details of the wedding. However, once Capulet tells Juliet about the upcoming wedding, Juliet refuses to marry Paris, causing Capulet
Romeo and Juliet were so desperately in love with each other, but their families absolutely hated each other. Juliet
In the play, Juliet is young, and the first meeting with Romeo is probably her first brush with romance. Romance was not a primary concern in Juliets time at least not until after your parents made a match. In the story Paris is to marry Juliet. Since she is not married yet Juliet has probably not been around this type of affection
