At the core of every organization are the human, physical, technological and financial resources that enable it to function. In this unit you learn the importance organizations place on managing their resources efficiently in order to achieve their objectives.

Staff, Technology and Physical resources all need to be looked after so that they perform to their best.

1. You need to explain how Wrotham School manages its human, physical and technological resources to improve its performance. In particular, explain how the schools physical and technological resources have:

• Planned maintenance
• Refurbishment
• Protection and security.

2. Also explain how the school selects and trains it staff. Consider how targeting, measuring and monitoring the performance its teaching staff could improve results.

M2 assess the importance of employability, and personal skills in the recruitment and retention of staff in a selected organization

A business is only as good as its employees. This could be especially true for a business in the tertiary sector such as Wrotham School.
