After this first attack, Osama destroyed a U.S. military base in Saudi Arabia with a truck full of explosives killing about 20 soldiers and wounding about 400. The al-qaeda organization officially declared a “holy war” against the United States. Once the “holy war” was declared, a suicide bombing in Kenya and Tanzania killed about 225 people. In September 11 2001, the event that made Osama Bin Laden become known by people, was the attack on the world trade center and the pentagon. He created a secret network of militant Muslims and their goal was to take up the jihadist cause around the world, righting perceived wrongs under the accordance of pure, Islamic law. Osama had a goal of drawing the United States into war and his hope was that Muslims, unified by battle, would create a single, true Islamic state. While Osama took refuge in Afghanistan and received protection from the Taliban militia, he issued many religious statements declaring a holy war against the United States. The biggest attack Osama had successfully executed was on September 11, 2001, where a small group of Osama's Al Qaeda Jihadists hijacked four commercial airplanes in the United States. Two of these planes collided into the World Trade Center Towers, the other crashed into The Pentagon while the fourth crashed in Pennsylvania but the final aircraft was believed to be targeted at the United States Capitol. Following those attacks on the United States, George W. Bush created a coalition that successfully overthrew the Taliban and Osama went into hiding for more than 10 years. Later, Osama was pronounced dead by president Obama. Although, Osama is dead, his beliefs are not, many still believe in

Al-Qaeda activities in terrorist plots can be traced back to almost 23 years ago, one of their first attack was in 1993 when a associate of Bin Laden named, Ramzi Yousef was charged and found guilty of orchestrating a bombing, that took place in the parking garage of The World Trade Center. It left six people dead and over 1042 injured, Ramzi was sentenced to life in prison without any possibility of parole. After the death of Osama bin Laden, his immediate family is hit hard emotionally and attacks western culture, specifically partying and drinking, and uses their money to advertise their outrage with what drinking and partying did to their son and with a net worth of about $7 billion (Frank, 2009) the bin Ladens reach a large amount of people and since most people there respected their opinion, a significant number of Saudi Arabians follow and start to stray from western culture and the temptations it holds when trying to live a “traditional” Muslim lifestyle. A second short term effect of Osama bin Laden dying from alcohol poisoning is bin Laden’s future colleague forming an Islamic Extremist group without bin Laden’s assistance. Abu ‘Ubaidah al-Banshiri, was born in May of 1950 in Cairo, Egypt and had strong feelings against Americans interfering with the politics in the Arabian peninsula. Al-Banshiri formed the group al-Qaeda with other men who felt the same. Al-Qaeda tried to get people to join the group and, “issued a fatwa, or religious edict, holding that “to kill the Americans and their allies—civilians and military—is an individual duty for every Muslim…” ( Funk &

On the aftermath of the 9/11 Terror attacks by Al-Qaeda, The US declares "total war on the evil forces" and invades Afghanistan, but Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda remain elusive and undefeated. In this course of action, public pressure is mounting and there is a need for a concrete enemy that can be Militarily defeated. Within this pretext the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein enters into the equation as the "Axis of Evil" instead of the real enemy - Al Qaeda, and is announced as the main Military target by the US government.
The 9/11 attacks opened the avenue for a scrutiny of the performance and ability of the intelligence community to detect any threats to the safety of the United States. The media, politicians, reformists and other interested parties would not comprehend how such an attack would happen without the knowledge of the intelligence community. However, it is important to consider the fact that the attack was one of its kind and could not be approached with the resources and expertise used in other initiative such as the cold war. Therefore, the need to restructure the intelligence community arose from the view that it was still operating in the mindset and spirit of the cold war even in the modern era that had seen a revolutionary change of warfare
The 9/11 attacks provided new insights to security agencies, especially in their role of detecting and thwarting terrorist activities. Of particular interest was the association of various racial groups, especially those from the Muslim community with terrorism. Therefore, security agencies invested in isolating these racial groups as suspects of terrorism due to their associated connection with terrorism. However, this racial profiling cannot be justified as a counterterrorism measure since it is a flawed line of reasoning. For instance, it is not always the case that some racial groups are always responsible for terrorism. In fact, the 9/11 events would not have been possible without collaborators inside the United States who are not necessarily
Qaeda planned carefully in the attacks on the Unites States by sending nineteen militants over a period of several years to keep our suspicions down. They also held their meeting all across the globe. The planning meetings were held in Malaysia, they took flying lessons in the United States, and the leaders of al-Qaeda were in Hamburg, Germany. This is how many militants got over to the United States undetected especially the lead hijackers Mohammed Atta who was on our “watch list”. He was the one who communicated with Osama Bin Laden over e-mail about when the attacks were going to take place. This was just the preparation of what is about to come the United States’ way.
The attacks of 9/11 affected the United States by increasing discrimination, endangering the health of many Americans, hurting the economy and changing foreign and security policies.
The terrorist attacks of September 11, altered American 's perceptions of the role in the world by strongly supporting the increased spending on national security and counterterrorism. Also, Americans have become more aware of how and where to engage in the world. As a result of the attacks, the US now has a defense that totals to nearly half the global total and has military dominance over scene, air, and space. The US also has the capability to dispatch massive military power anywhere in the world making them the system shaper. You may ask yourself just have a bad or do you check on September 11, 2001 was that led to this chaos and security becoming abnormally tight you may ask yourself just have a bad do you check on September 11, 2001
