Known around the world as O. J., famous celebrity Orenthal James Simpson was arrested and convicted for the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her mistress, Ron Lyle Goldman. Although Simpson denied any participation in the crime, the FBI found numerous evidence that proved hands down that he was the murderer. After a trial that lasted more than eight months, he was acquitted and was able to go home. Personally, I feel that the jury made the wrong decision. O. J. Simpson was a famous football star. He was an educated, admirable man. Many people looked up to him but people in the spotlight often have alter egos as I believe OJ did. Also police find two sets of keys to Nicole’s condo on OJ’s possession. Nicole reported a set of keys missing a few weeks before she was murdered. The night of the murders, a houseguest of OJ’s reported him wearing clothes that matched the fiber found at the scene. OJ made money off the publicity of the event, even writing a book on how he would hypothetically kill his wife. A quote from the book said, “If I had actually done it…I would have brought my good gloves that day. I would have thought it was shame they shrunk when I left them out on the patio, but I would have brought them just the same. They were my lucky gloves, and I would have needed them cause I was going to stab my slut of a wife...hypothetically.” A guy with no remorse of the death of his ex-wife writes a book about hypothetically killing her and evidence points to him and he walks. Nicole had numerous reports of telling a close friend and a therapist she feared that OJ would kill her one day.
