We are causing harm to the only oceans and ocean animals in our world. Instead of taking care of it, we put plastic bags in the ocean. First, many sea animals would die because we do not reuse plastic bags and we don’t throw it away. We also do not ever wonder about how many plastic bags we are using. There is about eight million of trash in the coastal countries. Some people may wonder how it gets there. It gets there because we are the ones who put it in there. We use and produce hoards of plastic bags and we do not know where it ends up in. Just like biologicaldiversity.org mentions 40% of the world ocean surface is plastic. The plastic never goes away, it just finds it’s way into the ocean. Seeturtles.com stated that sea turtles and many other sea animals eat the plastic bag and so the plastic bag blocks their digestive system and eventual death. NRCD.org stated, that 80% of marine litter plastic in the ocean effects our ocean and economy. Researchers have shown that 40% of our world ocean surface is covered in plastic. We can't entirely fix it, but we can decrease the amount of plastic. We can reuse water bottles and all plastic things. We can also help sea animals by picking up trash that is rolling on the ground or on the beach. It would also help if we separate the plastic from garbage. We can put the plastic bags in the recycling bin. Also, we can support clubs like The MarineBio Conservation that does their best to prevent plastic bags and help sea animals. This has to end now before all the sea animals die!
