The profession I chose is medical and health services managers, also known as office managers, nurse managers, and program managers. I will be covering educational requirements, personality traits, knowledge and skills needed to be successful in my chosen profession. I also will be summarizing my future goals, such as internships, manager’s jobs within my chosen profession or within my current field of work central supply.

Medical and health service managers plan, direct, coordinate medical and health services in hospitals, clinics, or similar organizations. On the job duties consist of accounting, budget planning establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting. Medical and health service managers communicate between medical staff, department heads, by attending board meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning. They also evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, technical, clerical and other personnel. According to the website (My Next Move, 2016).
Educational requirements for a medical and health service manager would be at least a bachelor’s degree in health care administration or for higher positions a master’s degree in health care administration, which sometimes may be preferred by an employer, according to the website (My Next Move, 2016).
