The second design exercise involved me exploring more into the possibilities of using the laser cutting technology for 3D scanning with different drawing software. In this exercise, I made a small replica of my hand doing a classical Indian dance gesture, ‘Hamsasya’. This was done by scanning my hand using a ‘structure sensor’ device in which was attached to an ipad and examined around my hand. The drawing software used to designate slices into the scanned hand was 'Meshmixer' and 'Autodesk 123D Make'. The materials I used to make the replica were cardboard. I transferred the scan onto Meshmixer first, to open up the file and was then exported to 123D Makes to proceed with selecting the angle and positions of the slice to cut out. Each shape was cut out individually to slices and numbered in the software so that when it is assembled …show more content…
It was easy to assemble because the cut-out was engraved in the number of its orders and because it was made out of cardboard, the construction required simple method of sticking it together with glue. However, the problems I had were the exporting the file and saving it into different file. I save the file to be printed by exporting mesh as an ‘STL’ when I should of save it by going on ‘simple’ layout arrangement and then exporting file type as ‘DXF’. I solved this problem afterward, doing this step, so that I could print the final design properly. There was consideration that I had to bear in mind such as printing on the exact measurements of the material I used to cut my model out of so I solved this by customizing a new manufacturing setting to 60cm in length, 90cm in width and 0.3 cm in thickness. This is so that the design drawn is cut exactly to the same position as the on ‘cut layout’ plan. I also had problems with figuring out my time management to complete manufacture of the initial design in which I need to work on next
This configuration is the most flexible of those described, since it allows to connect the unit to the Internet and automatically download its historian data to a remote server. No particular configuration is required in this case since the only requirement is that the remote unit is configured with the fixed IP of the central server and can freely connect to the internet. This can be obtained, if the unit cannot be configured inside the plant network, by using a wireless 3G/4G adaptor which directly allows a connection to internet. The remote replication of data requires to implement a central data server to receive the data. This server should be installed either in Sea Marconi Head quarter or can be part of the client network. The cost of

I complete reviewing all the payments that you posted and I just found one error and I discuss the error with you over the phone on 12/15/2016 at 3:30 pm. I provide you some directions on how to post the rest of the EOB'S payments that Amanda provide you and email me back the list of the EOB'S that you post so I can do the final review.
Paper in a vet clinic is becoming less common, most are switching from paper to the computer. To be able to run a successful clinic you have to know the ins and outs of veterinary computer software and how it works and what will work best for your clinic. In the paper I will cover Cornerstone Software, AVImark Software, DVMAX software, and I will compare and contrast the three software’s I have chosen.
Currently, I am doing animal subject research. I have done the CITI training, and there was I lot of things I did not know about animal research. I need to double check to see if the experiment is approved, although I do remember reading the form to get the project approved. I am going to do as much as possible to keep my research on the fish as ethical as possible. I did know from the training that my data is not mine but the university’s, but it did not occur to me that the notebook I write my data in is not my own. Correct me if I am wrong, but this means I cannot keep my notebook when I am finished with this experiment, correct? Another thing brought up by the presentation that I knew I would run into would be my mentoring relationship.
For my term project, I would like to build a program that has the capabilities to judge people’s moods based on their current facial expressions. My project would need user’s to have a webcam or an external camera. In addition, this project requires users to follow certain guidelines to ensure that the project works properly. Users must be in a well-lit area, do not cover their face, and are not wearing anything over their eyes, mouth, and face. Upon following these guidelines, my project will use the user’s eyes and mouth to determine their mood. The five moods that my program will be able to recognize are happy, sad, calm neutral, fear/stress, and angry/disgust.
I defiantly see myself using a ready-made carving patterns that you can find in the carving books or using a decal to practice with on scrap wood. I thought that it was common sense that you should cut around the extreme outline of the drawing at first when you have a pattern that chosen

“Although 3-D printers are not yet a standard part of home-computing equipment, the latest generation of devices, such as Cube® by 3D Systems, the Cubex™ or Makerbot’s Replicator™2X - which retail for between one and three thousand US dollars - are bringing the possibility of home manufacturing one step closer to reality” (Jewell). Now the biggest difference between traditional manufacturing and 3D printing will be the emergence of mass customization. Goods will be, “infinitely more customized, because altering them won’t require retooling, only tweaking the instructions in the software. Creativity in meeting individuals’ needs will come to the fore, just as quality control did in the age of rolling out sameness” (D'Aveni). When you have a product that is printed out individually from software with your own customization, then there would be no reason in buying a product that will look like something another person can own because of its ordinary accessibility. Creating physical 3D models in a fast, easy and affordable way has great potential, especially when you can do it in the comfort of your home.
While we can't make changes on clay anytime we want, we can fiddle with a digital sculpture in real time and easily produce precise copies of the model. We were using tablets to work quite intuitively it gets even more intuitive with new solutions. For example, people can now work with virtual reality hardware and make sculptures very much like they normally
The 3D model that I chose to make is a functional working Gladius sword that is about 3 foot long and has two sharpened sides that can cut. It is a one handed sword that was used by roman soldiers and gladiator for close personal kombat. So far it is a pain in the butt to make but I made it out of steel by cutting little slots every quarter of an inch with a angle grinder then cutting the notches out then i shaped the handle with a table grinder and sandpaper. The blade was the hardest part to make because it took a lot of my patients and it aggravated the dookie out of me because I about messed it up but i stuck with it and powered through and finished it.
What I know about this topic is that it requires time, knowledge, and air-dry clay. Tools are recommended, but not needed, depending on the scale of the figure.
3D Printing is a unique kind of printing system, which takes a 3D image file and creates a physical 3D image. As I mentioned before 3D files are generated from what is called a .stl file, which is a compressed triangular meshed surface. “These .stl files were originally intended for a rapid prototyping process called Stereolithography, and in the beginning were generated by CAD programs; however, because MRI and CT’s are surface scans, they too can generate a .stl file. These .stl files have become a world standard for exchanging 3D mesh type objects between programs” (McNeel, Sep. 2015, par. 3). Since MRI’s and CT’s can be scanned and converted into stl files it has paved the way into many different aspects of the medical and dental industry for 3D printing. When I say the medical and dental industry I am talking about many different avenues within those industries.
Planes that run the same direction of the mould opening usually require some draft, which allow milling of the mould. The mould design requires about one
