The materials needed for this experiment include: ten people with noses and pinky fingers that have not been broken or altered in some way, shape, or form, a metric ruler, The variable that is manipulated, or the independent variable, is the people. The variable that is observed during the experiment, or the dependent variable, is the length of each person’s nose and pinky finger. First, each person’s name, age, and sex will be recorded in the table below. Then, each person’s individual nose length and pinky finger length will be measured in centimeters. The lengths of every person’s nose and pinky will be recorded in the table below. The lengths will be subtracted from each other to find the difference of both of the measurements. The difference

Find from the “Starting” and “stopping” locations of where you are going to measure. i.e., I am going to have Charles lay down and I will measure from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head
1. Dependent Variable. respiratory volumes 2. Independent Variable. level of physical activity [resting or exercising] 3. Controlled Variables. height; age; sex 4. Which respiratory volume was calculated? Breating rate, TV, ERV, and IRV. 5. What was the purpose of the nose clip? the nose clip was used for the lung function testing to prevent leakage with
In the experiment group, children were asked to postpone their desire to eat marshmallow for ten minutes, but they were notified how much time left to hold their
The subjects of the experimental study performed were 14 firefighters who were attendees at the Fire Academy. They were all volunteers and met the requirements to be subjects, including having no medical issues that could affect or be affected by the test and being in good physical health with no injuries. Each subject was cleared by physicians to be participants in the experiment and all agreed for information about the study to be released.
In this task you will collect, process and compare data of body measurements from two groups: your mathematics class and an ABS CensusAtSchool sample.
The researchers addressed known influential factors verbally, but not all factors were controlled during the experiment. For example, time of day, the white coat effect along with respirations and heart rate were not addressed in the results.
There were a total of 30 participants insisting of 15 females and 15 males who are currently student of LMU, with an age range of 18 – 35 giving the mean age of 22.8. All participants were specifically chosen to be right- handed with English as their first language. It was also vital that the participants had normal or corrected to vision. Each participant was provided with a consent form for his or her acknowledgment of the experiment and was treated in accordance with the ethical principles of the BPS.
A total of 59 participants took part in this experiment. They were split into two independent experimental groups, one being the control group, and the other the experimental group. There were 30 participants in the control group, and 29 participants in the experimental group. The male to female ratio was fairly equal with
This experience consisted of 20 subjects from Woden plaza varying of age and gender. It also included one student who was going to conduct the experiment.
What were your controls for this experiment? What did they demonstrate? Why was saliva included in this experiment?
Several tests were conducted on the patient to test her body systems; the systems tested were the integumentary, nervous, musculoskeletal, endocrine, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, immune, urinary, and reproductive. While not all tests were directed at each system individually, the results recorded give an indication of performance and can be looked at in more detail.
To complete this experiment we needed some materials. We needed a deck of fifty two cards. We needed at least one person in each group had a stopwatch on their phone. Each of the participants had to have a standard student desk. The very last thing we needed to complete this experiment was a data sheet.
The participants were three members of a family. The first was male and 67 years of age. The second was female and 52 years old. The third member of the family was male, and 25 years old.
There are also some limitations of my experiment, such as every time I saw the distance of participants fingers is different, that may affect the result of my experiment.
