Moreover, death had a large effect on the journeys in both Night and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, and both Eliezer and Christopher were determined to prevent its effect as much as they could. First with Wellington, and then with his mother, Christopher was surrounded with loss yet insisted on continuing his life.
