I believe I never giving up. It’s crazy to me how people can start something or be super confident and then just quit halfway through. Think of it like school. If you drop out of school, then it’s like you’re quitting on your knowledge. Sure, everyone has off days. But if you bounce back from those off days you will be successful. Never giving up ties into sports all the time. Say that you’re on a football team. Your coaches will push you to the edge and you have to suck it up, learn and repeat. Practice is supposed to be hard. But if you just quit and never go back, then it’s going to be even worse. Just keep pushing through and don’t quit. Last year, my football team wasn’t the best, and one game we had to play the best. Benedict
Going into that game we had convinced ourselves that we had already lost before it even started. We were about as flat as a tabletop. While warming up we were pretty much just waiting for the game to end, so that we could just leave and just call it a year!” Once the game actually started something just clicked. We
Have you ever given up on something, like homework and then failed that class, In Fever 1793, Laurie Halse Anderson uses never giving up by Mattie and Mother to show us that giving up gets us nowhere. In the book fever when the fever outbreaks everyone thought this was the illness to wipe out mankind. After a wile Mattie and grandfather were kicked out of the coffee shop so Mattie would not catch the fever. And in the end they survived (except grandfather). Never giving up means you can do great things.
Do you have those times where it becomes really hard and you just want to give up? Do you ever say that you can't do something because it seems to hard? If you give up in life you won't succeed and get very far. You shouldn't say you can't before you even try. Also, you won't accomplish any of your dreams that the world
I provide myself only twenty-four hours to dwell on a failure before creating a plan to overcome the obstacle and achieve success. Over this twenty-four hour time period I had the opportunity to reflect on my performance during the game, thinking about what I have done wrong and what I need to do better in practice the next day. The next day in practice the team moral was broken, we were all upset with our loss and needed to remember that the season is not over and that we need to get back out there and practice. This loss helped us to learn that we cannot take anything for granted; we went in with high hopes and made unfortunate mistakes that cost us the game. We must be humble, wise and learn from those mistakes in order to become
Never give up. Always keep going. Try hard. Practice makes perfect. The Marble Champ by Gary Soto is a great story. A girl named Lupe is not good at sports but she finds something athletic that she could be good at. She found marbles. She practiced until she got so good, she won the marbles championship. For this matter, I think a possible theme in this story is to never give, just like Lupe did. A couple reasons why, are because she practices, perseveres, and always gives 100% effort.
Whenever I come across challenges, I tell myself that I’m not afraid to try new things, and that we never know when we are going to die. So I give it my all and let God take over because God has a plan for everything. I always tell myself that everything happens for a reason, even if it doesn’t go my way, I deal with whatever happened and find another way to accomplish my goals. It’s never good to just give up on something you love to do, because sometimes you will just have to deal with the fact that not everything will go your way. I have felt the need to quit many times, but I learned to just deal with my times I fail because deep down I am not a
We have all failed several times, and sometimes we have given up. One of the most famous chocolate makers in history failed many times, but he never gave up on his dream.
In sports their is always the need to push yourself past what you normally do. You may be comfortable with some things, and perfect those, but the game may call for you to do something different, and if you can’t you have lost. Variables in any sport are always changing, and require you to adapt to these new challenges. I’ll use soccer
“You try, you fail, you try, you fail. But the only true failure is when you stop trying,” ~ madame Leota. When someone stops trying and quits, they set himself/herself up for failure in life. They become more accepting of stopping before they finish their goal. And when they have a huge project and decide not to do it, they get penalized because of it. And even though a person loses they can just as easily try
I have always known that never giving up is important to being successful. Through the National Honor Society, I
8. There are several themes in this film and it's is close to our life. The theme of not giving up reminds me to achieve my dream as Judy does. This little bunny has not given up though she is laughed at by her parents, friends, and police academy peers. The teasing doesn't knock her down. So I should keep fighting for my aspiration. Also, the theme stereotyping change my attitude towards others. I would respect people without
My volleyball career thought me a lot. On thing I can always remember was a certain bible verse, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” That verse stuck with me all through out my volleyball career and is still with me as I play in college. My me never giving up I
Doesn’t giving up mean a person can’t fail? I believe that if someone gives up they can’t succeed. If they hadn’t given up, think about all the accomplishments they could have earned
There’s a saying that everyone’s said at least once in their lifetime, I’m sure. It’s so cliché, but now I know that there is so much truth behind it. “Believe in yourself.” Rather than giving up on yourself, use your failures to make you better. Learn how to bounce back from adversity and learn from those experiences. This is called using your growth mindset. According to Carol Dweck, research psychologist, in her book Mindset, “In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.” It wasn’t until the summer between my junior and senior year of high school that I learned this and of course I learned it the hard way. I had played club basketball for four summers in a row with the Longmont Rush basketball club. I loved the game of basketball and I had spent countless hours working on my skills on the court. I even wanted to play in college. I already had schools scouting me. Unfortunately, in my final season, just before my senior year, my biggest fear came true.
It has been said that life can never be carried out and truly lived to its fullest unless there has been some sort of suffering and pain. Mistakes are to be learned from, and a hard past can only result in a stronger present. Though many might find themselves alone in their misery the truth is they are not, everyone has struggles. We all have our ups and downs, but it is how we react to them that truly matters. Life is life and no matter what, giving up on lifelong dreams and aspirations because of a few bumps in the road should never be an option.
