When I first received the letter inviting me to apply to the National Honor Society, my initial thoughts were of appreciation for the recognition of my hard work during this past academic year. To think of myself as a member of the NHS is an honor that could have a profound impact on my future. Over the past several years I have driven myself to become a much more motivated person. To have a goal enables a person to do his/her best in whatever they set out to accomplish. Achieving academic excellence in high school has given me a love of learning. This desire for more knowledge propels me towards a college education that will prepare me to do my best in my future. Having the perseverance to become healthier has inspired me to work toward being a dietician. I have chosen this career goal because an increasing number of people in our country are struggling with obesity. In addition to these goals of a higher education and a career path, I would like to be a mother and raise my own family. Family is very important to me because I believe that family has a major influence on one’s personality. Without the influence of my family, I would not be who I am today.
As an individual with prominent leadership skills, a love for helping others, and dedication to my academics and other programs, I am a fit candidate for the National Honor Society. I hope to become a member of this honorable organization so that I will be challenged to further improve my body and mind as I continue on my journey of achieving a higher education. Foremost my hard work and determination have granted me scholastic achievements that evidently meet the prerequisites for National Honor Society.
I am honored to be among the students who have been given the opportunity to apply to be part of the National Honors Society. Membership in this esteemed organization has been a goal of mine since the 7th grade, when I first joined NJHS and became familiar with the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. I have grown personally and academically as I have worked to incorporate these 4 pillars into my daily routine. I am actively striving to develop a distinguished character with academic initiative, qualities that exemplify a leader, and an overall positive representation of Eagle High School.
Qualifying for National Honors Society is a great honor and is the apotheosis of my highschool career. As a highschool student in arduous honors classes, I am faced with challenges on a daily basis that might discourage me from achieving my goals in life. Because high school can be rigorous and stressful at times, I have realized how these hindrances should be the reason for me to persevere towards greatness and to learn who I truly am. A National Honor Society member showcases leadership, service, exemplifies positive character, and an outstanding academic excellence at the same time. I believe that I display these characteristics, and would be an asset to the organization .
Being considered for a membership into the National Honors Society is an honor. I have been recognized for my academic achievements as well as my character. I have observed the acts performed by the the NHS members in our community and I believe I can make a difference along with them. It is a great privilege and honor to be nominated for the National Honor Society. I have been looking forward and working hard since I saw my sister being inducted. I can not only bring leadership skills but commendable character to this organization, it would be a honor to be part of the National Honor Society and represent the Sinton High School Chapter. I take my academic studies serious because I know my hard work will pay off. I’ve learned to prioritize my responsibilities and juggle academics with outside activities like sports and showing livestock.
I believe that I am well suited for the leadership role that joining the National Honor Society will put me in. Throughout my school years, I have always tried to challenge myself in many ways, including becoming a better leader. I have achieved my goal of becoming a better leader. A way that I proved this is joining the Student Council, running for the first time in 6th grade. In my three years of being a representative, the Student Council has given me the leadership experience that I would need to be successful as a member of the National Honor Society.
As a student, I am very honored to have received this invitation from the NHS. Ever since my sister was admitted to the National Honor Society I have strived to make it one of my goals to be apart of this prestigious society as well. Throughout my high school career, I have demonstrated many examples of character, leadership, and service that I believe will qualify me for this coalition. I believe that I posses qualities of a good character because there have been many times where I have exhibited good character.
I am honored to be considered for induction into the National Honor Society. I have worked hard to earn a 4.508 GPA, and I will continue to strive to increase it. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society is extremely important to me for several reasons. I am currently involved in multiple community service opportunities through my church and enjoy the opportunities that I have to serve others. Along with the prospect of more service opportunities, NHS also offers multiple scholarship opportunities.
The National Honors Society allows students to be build and create traits that are essential in a successful adult. I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. Students should demonstrate scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character because of three reasons. One, if students demonstrate these qualities they are more likely to get better grades and get reprimanded less. Another, without these traits, a student would have far less opportunities in the future. Finally, as students grow they will gain much more wisdom if they allow themselves to work on demonstrating these characteristics. Overall, these qualities are very important in the present, and in the future.

Everyday, countless amounts of people are working hard, trying to change the world for the better. They are researching cures for cancer or taking twelve hour shifts to help keep oceans clean. There are people who are working towards a better world, and making life safe for the children in need, the animals in danger, and the men fighting for our country. Seeing these changes happen has motivated me to want to be a part of these developments.
