Humans obsess over the exploration of the unknown. The majority of our vast solar system remains unexplored. Most humans don’t have an idea what could be waiting for us outside of our atmosphere. Nonetheless, space exploration is not necessary unless our world is either perfect or destroyed. There is no need to throw away billions of dollars on space exploration missions when there are other necessities that need to be sought to first.

We shouldn't spend valuable resources on exploring space. Some people could argue differently but there is evidence to back this statement up. Like we could bring new problems to the U.S., it could threaten the life of the astronauts that go up to space and the government does not have enough support from the people.

To begin, "Source 4: The space race is a pointless waste of money" states that "...a $278 million package which blasted off from Vandenberg air force base on Tuesday and promptly crashed into the Pacific." (23). This shows that space exploration is a waste of money due to its possibility of failure. Secondly, the same source states "Extremely expensive manned mission mean that practical, earth-based science suffers..." (25).

Three main clusters that are developed under this idea of space exploration is the benefits that are gained, ethical code and what it means with regard to the future of the human race. In this paper I will talk about what major projects are being worked on and who will benefit from these. This will also include what laws of space are and ethical code. This will also identify the differing viewpoints on space exploration and whether the big picture is worth the small steps being taken as to advancements in space technology and sciences.

Since the development of large and efficient rockets, space exploration has become reality. The numbers of reasons behind it are for scientific research, national prestige, developing military and strategic advance against other country.
