So, when I was at my tutoring job the other day, one of the teachers came up to me offering me a really great job opportunity in following her to a private school to become the teachers assistant. Due to the fact, I need healthcare benefits since I will soon be off my parents, I cannot let this opportunity go. Thus, I feel it is a time to accept a new challenge and is a great shot to pursue my career goals. Indeed, working at your home with your children was an educational experience and the affiliation I have made with your children will be memorable for years to come. That being the case, this is my two week notice, but during the next two weeks I am willing to help you in any way to make the transition as smooth as possible. As a result,
As we pulled up to the massive elementary school building, I begged my mom to let me stay home from school, just once. As usual, she said no. Realizing my attempt to get out of school was futile, I shouldered my backpack, swung open the door, and trudged over to the front door. I would rather be anywhere else than here. For the majority of my life, I attended public schools. It wasn’t rare for me to fail a test or even a whole class. It was because of these failures that I would get even more demotivated and threw away the idea of working hard or completing quality work altogether.
I am writing to confirm to you I will be leaving my job as a cashier at Sobeys. The balance of my school work and a part time job is just to much for me to handle currently especially as this is my grade 12 year and I'm looking to obtain high marks.
On April 10th, 2015, two Detroit police officers in the city’s Narcotics Division were charged with robbing drug dealers during police searches performed over a four-year period. Due to their wide knowledge of narcotics, they were able to make a large profit by reselling the stolen drugs. They sold the drugs through private parties that included underground operations with other drug dealers in the state. The federal indictment was revealed to be eight-counts which included: possession with intent to distribute five or more kilograms of cocaine, robbery, extortion, possession of firearms and drug trafficking (Cook, 2015).
I got this email right now from Sr. Sevda (Grade 2A). Please see the attachment of resign letter. I have been working with her some personal issue for past three weeks and she needs time off this year. In my opinion, we should hire Sr. Hanan (ELL resource teacher) to replace her ASAP so NO interruption take place in children learning and Jenny will be assisting her with the transition period.
Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt is about a young girl named Clara who was taken from her mother at a young age due to slavery. Clara dreamed about returning to her mother and escaping slavery. Clara lived with her “aunt”, who had gotten a sewing job for her at the so called “ big house”. She sewed quilts and other things for her mistress, Clara would sew in a room right beside the kitchen and would always hear people talking about a underground railroad. They would talk about how many black slaves tried to escape slavery .
Tutoring help me by improving my grades . I started going to torturing when I was in second grade. Second grade was hard me because I didn’t do my math ,english, science homework and I was repeating the second grade which was harder because the work was different from my old school. Also, the work was difficult to keep up with , so I told my mom if she can sign me up for tutoring. It took her two - three weeks to find me a tutoring club. which it help me in life.
A passion has erupted and is spurting forth in all areas of my life. I believe that every person deserves the opportunity to prove themselves, they deserve to be given a chance and when it comes to children I feel even more strongly about this. A passion of mine is working with children. Bright grinning faces, and the sparkle in small innocent eyes can bring a smile to my face every time. Some children can be good, bad, and some are just tolerable to be around. Being around children brightens up my day. Fourth graders are just as sweet as the young kindergartners, I soon learned. Thanks mom, for the opportunity that made a difference in my life so I could be an impact to the kids at Union Elementary. I do miss everybody at Union already. I can't wait to come back and see everyone again.
Why did you chose this “place” on campus? Which campus did you visit? What other “place” did you consider? Was it on a different campus? Why?
My experiences with an afterschool tutoring program offered me the opportunity for me to implement theories and concepts in a real world situation. One experience stands out from the rest, due to the progress I made developing resiliency in the child by using Deci and Ryan’s, Self-Determination Theory.
This past fall I had the chance to volunteer at Oasis Tutoring Center. I thought going in that I was going to show up to get my hours done for my class. I didn’t think about how heavy this experience would embark on my heart. The slogan for Oasis is “Healing Hearts.” This is exactly what happened during my experience at Oasis. Not only did I heal hearts during my tutoring experience, my heart was also healed somehow during it too. This experience will stay with me forever as a teacher and in everyday life. I am so thankful that I could be apart of something so empowering.
Throughout High School I attended tutoring but not as often as I’d like to, especially when I was involved with Cross Country also Track and Field. My coach was stubborn and knew I was capable enough to keep my grades up so I can still run so he would often refrain me from attending tutoring or anything that involved interfering with the sports. I was put in a rough spot I cared about school but running helped me mentally and feel at ease. Which is why I decided to quit my senior year it was a hard choice and was a big part of my life but I knew it was time to do this. Currently I am attending tutoring as often as necessary to try to keep up and try to reach my full potential academic wise
When I completed high school, I started a tutoring class in which my friend joined me. There are many children from poor background in the slum near where I live who could not afford holiday tutoring offered in other places. As we were just out of high school our memories and knowledge was still fresh. We initially had a class of just five students but the number grew to over twenty in one and a half weeks. We teach them Math, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. I take Physics and Chemistry. This was a success and it gave me inspiration and motivation. I felt happy knowing I was changing someone’s life directly by helping them improve their grades. It inspired me and made me want to help as much people as I could. It also helped me in gaining confidence
Aside from dancing at charity shows, I never had any hands-on experiences in community service in upper elementary or middle school. Upon entering high school, I found the perfect opportunity to give back to the community with many extracurriculars at my high school, West-Windsor Plainsboro North. From 2 years with UNICEF to 4 years with Tutoring Society, I have realized that the best way I contributed to society was through tutoring. Tutoring has given me instant satisfaction when I saw the students I tutored come back and tell me that they aced a difficult test. It has been great being able to connect with the students and learn more about them, and the subject being taught. My experiences as a tutor have expanded my horizons and taught
Using academic advising is essential for me as well because it will offer me a personal connection with the institution of my interest. From instance, improving educational outcomes for students is an important issue for educators. Tutoring programs have the potential to turn academic failure into academic success. Personally, tutoring has been an important part of my education. Over the past years speaking the english language has been a necessity, however with learning this new language there is a lot of difficulties that one has to overcome. As a beginner of foreign language, my english tutoring sessions at the TRIO program allowed me to drill my writing and reading skills. Learning a whole new language in six years has been the result
We must relate the past with events that are happening today so the students have a better understanding of the material. During my student teaching at Arthur L. Johnson High School and teaching at Piscataway High School experience, I had the students look at the European Slave trade by relating it to today’s slavery. I did this by challenging their notions on how the products they consume are made like chocolate, clothing, and their electronics. Many of these products are made by child labor similar to the student’s own age. The students worked to find solutions to these problems to try to make the world a better place. I believe I want my students to use the past events to help them solve problems that are occurring today. Again, with the
