My philosophy of education is based on many things, including my worldview. When compared with some of the readings and thoughts of the authors we covered throughout this course, I believe that there are some similarities and dissimilarities. Every worldview, much like every philosophy of education is different and formed by each individual person.
I believe that as a society we must seek to better our education through any means possible, as early as possible and as much as possible. As teachers, it is our duty to give students the tools necessary learn, as well as instill in them the desire to do so. By expanding our knowledge, we are not only gaining a greater understanding of what is around us, we are also becoming more

If the learning environment is compromised by a lack of either ethics or professionalism, students will not receive the full amount of information that they deserve. This also applies to non-traditional learning facilities as well as in the classroom setting. No matter what or where the student is learning, they have the right to an unbiased and complete education.
In all learning environments, it is my firm belief that the more organized and disciplined you are, the better the outcome. By having an organized and dedicated space to learn in, students and educators can focus on the material in front of them without having to seek it out and waste time. Discipline needs to have a place in this environment, although it should not be the top priority. A lack of discipline can lead to poorly run classrooms, inadequate learning, and a greater risk of not only stunting an individual 's potential, but those around them as well.
Another benefit of expanding ones education is to also develop their range of diversity. By engaging in a group with a diverse background of cultures, for example, one can learn many new and interesting ways of thought. Having a diverse set of subjects to study also broadens the range and scope of your education, by allowing you to discover more than one topic at a time. Diversity, in general, is a positive attribute on the quest for knowledge so as to expand your boundaries and enhance your skills in new and different ways.

Another benefit of Exploring Diversity and Culture in the classroom is that you are more aware and educated about the different people and their culture. You see diversity in the classrooms every day, students are willing to learn about different backgrounds, cultures, and customs in the most
Diversity will enhance life as it teaches you to live with different types of people and teaches you how to get along with different types of people. In a diverse community we learn to build relationships with different people and groups. Diversity can enhance our life as we can see how people who haven’t got what we have, have to live and how what we have, we should be proud of and appreciative.
Diversity helps people learn about other ways of life and what goes on in other places of the world. It
I believe that each child is unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invite a sharing of ideas. There are three elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment namely, the teacher acting guide, allowing the child’s natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, promoting respect for all the things and all the people.
Education is a very important part of society. I feel that it should teach children how to function in a society, and learn the basics they will need to expand on for the rest of their life. I feel that it is used to teach moral, and ethical standards of living. The schools are used to help the children learn to function in life, and achieve the goals of their choosing. Education is important because without it I firmly believe that society would be a very savage institution. With the things that we teach in today’s schools we give the power to know the basics such as reading, writing, and math but we also give them the ability to function in a society. As a teacher I hope to set my student of fire. I want to see them come alive with a desire to want everything that is out there for them. I want to be able to make a difference in just one person’s life. If I can do this I would feel I have done what I am supposed to do. I want my students to know the world is theirs to take and do with it whatever they may choose.
Discipline in a classroom should be immediate, fair, and consistent. It is important to have a discipline plan in place with outlined consequences to achieve this. Even a well-managed classroom will have disruptions. Most children will stray from good choices at least once. I believe it is vital to stop any violations immediately, remind students of the rule or procedure, and begin again. Discipline plans should include positive aspects. Presenting consequences as a choice places accountability back on the student. Teachers have many hats in the classroom and not only serve as educators, but supporters as well. Managing behavior is not only conducive to the class environment, but also in fostering good character and citizenship in each
The more you expose yourself to diversity, the less ignorant you become. Diversity is beneficial, because it combines new ideas and cultures into a society. It provides people with visions to develop, grow, and change. From the early 1900’s to current times, it is shown that diversity has been widely accepted and has beneficial to today’s society.
A classroom is where students spend their days, Monday through Friday. I want to create a classroom that provides structure for my students. Organization of the classroom will allow the students to have access to any and all instruction and materials. According to Linsin, (2010), “A classroom management plan is a contract that you make with your students that promises you will protect their rights to learn and enjoy school without interference,” (date). Creating classroom rules with the entire class gives students a sense of empowerment, thus felling more at liberty to follow the rules “they” created. Often times when there are too many rules in place students can feel overwhelmed with expectations “they” feel they may not meet. In my classroom I do believe rules to follow are important, but believe that goals are far more important for my students.
Aristotle once said, “The one exclusive sign of thorough knowledge is the power of teaching.” Teaching enables students to gain the intelligence needed to excel in life. I believe that a teacher’s philosophy of education is a crucial role in his or her approach to leading students on their educated path. A philosophy of education is the set of beliefs that every school and every teacher stand behind. The certain philosophy that one chooses provides the answers to many vital questions, such as the purpose of schooling, a teacher’s role, and what should be taught in the classroom.
The learning experience should be that of a collective nature where students are able to indiscriminately relate to the information, re-teach the information and have a balanced incorporation of all the learning centers in society; including the home and the church. The goal of this incorporation is to create a balanced learning environment that facilitates holistic development in the young mind. As professionals entrusted with the shaping of young minds, teachers must facilitate learning and personal, spiritual, ethical and academic development. My philosophy for education is a multi-part philosophy that encapsulates the idea of holistic and inclusive learning. The philosophy caters for the overall shaping and development of the young mind and includes aspects of balanced training, incorporated teachings and it generally focuses on training students to become teachers.
Education is a key element that directs one's life to success. By having knowledge one holds the power to make goals a reality. Teachers are responsible to help goals, such as, learning to read become a reality. It is the responsibility of the teacher to give the students the best quality of education in order for the students to be able to have a positive experience as well success in life. I feel students should be given the opportunity to learn the facts, the truth, not just parts of it. I feel as an educator one needs to give the students the opportunity to
I personally believe that education is one of the most important things to achieve in life. No matter what it can never be taken away from you. From my observations and experiences in the classroom each child is unique in his or her own way. Students inside a classroom needs a teacher who will make them feel secure, comfortable and in a stimulating atmosphere. These aspects help to attain growth, mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to meet the needs of my students in any way possible, so that they are able to meet their fullest potential in life. Children are the future, so as a teacher I need to take all the necessary steps to get them to their fullest potential. I believe that the teacher should act as a guide, allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his or her learning, and promoting respect for all people are conductive to establishing productive students of tomorrow.
When understanding education there are many different ways which the purpose of education may be applied and defined. My personal philosophy of education is, 'educators must nurture/guide students within the academic field, to that the aims, goals and results during this task of educating or being educated are achieved '. This philosophy is used to understand that both teachers and students play an integral role in education. Academic performance, classroom methods/practices and also meeting the requirements of both the senior secondary Australian Curriculum Framework and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers Framework are examples of these roles. This essay will discuss in detail how my personal philosophy of education, reflects on the role of teachers and learners, the aim of education and the methods and practices used in the classroom. Jean Jacques Rousseau, Paulo Freire, Locke, and Plato/Socrates are the four theorists that shall be used within this essay, to support claims and justify statements regarding this philosophy. John Dewey and A.S Neil are two non-supporting theorists that shall be used in contrast to justify this philosophy.
As a future teacher in today’s society and generation, I believe the educational system must accommodate the individual and the diverse needs of each child. Many factors should be thought about when forming a philosophy on education. Factors as far as the increase of single parent families and dual careers, the family structure is changing and this may play a significant part in our students. Furthermore, the issues such as teen pregnancy and drugs and much more, children are facing more complicated issues than they ever had before. A sound philosophy on education must be developed within the framework of social value systems. Our children are our future resources. All children can be guided to become well adjusted, functional and intelligent adults for their own benefit and the benefit for others in society. An educator should motivate and stimulate each child to perform to the best of their ability. Regardless of the various experiences, abilities and needs of the child. Therefore, all children must be well educated and given the opportunity
I believe the essence of education includes growth. The purpose of education is not to just fill our head with lots of information, but to discover your uniqueness and to teach us how to develop it, and to show us how to, in return, give it away. Once you learn something in life, you should be able to absorb it in a way to use it in your life and then in turn pass it on to someone else in order to contribute to their growth as well. I also believe that the essence of education includes knowledge and skills. Once you are educated on a matter you obtain knowledge and/or skill. Education is understood as the artificial extension of human ability to learn, as the product of learner’s own efforts (Sidorkin, 2011).
