My heroine Compassionate, empathetic, generous, reliable, persistent, ambitious, sincere- my heroine can be described as any of these characteristics. My heroine is someone who is admired by many people for her personality and her actions towards other people. I admire her for her unlimited amount of love and determination towards the advancement of other people. In December of 2012, my friend and I were having a small sleepover at my house for her birthday. Christmas Eve was less than a week away, so we were telling each other about the items we had wrote on our Christmas list and listing them in order of the ones we wanted the most.
While my friend Kelly was telling me about her list, she accidentally said, “My brother and I are not

Therefore, we decided to do everything we could to give them the best Christmas even if it meant we had to give up our gifts.
On the same day, we contacted a local club that is dedicated to helping people in the community. We told them the situation and asked if they would be willing to help us give these children a good Christmas. They were willing to donate one hundred dollars to help buy these children the gifts they had asked for. The money we received did not go as far as we would have liked, so we started taking donations from local businesses and family friends. My mom drove around town telling people the situation and asked if they would like to support the cause. My mom and I asked anyone we could possibly think would be willing to help these children have a good holiday with their family. Some people donated money while other people asked for a list and donated actual gifts Kelly and her brother asked for. Once people started asking for a list, we told the parents what we were doing for Kelly and her brother. In return, they thanked us by giving us hugs and offering us dinner. However, we only asked for their Christmas lists, so we could give them to the people who had asked for them and get the gifts with the donated money.
Once all the gifts had been bought or donated, my mom and I stayed up for hours throughout the night wrapping all the gifts that had been bought for Kelly and her brother. In order to do
One weekend, my friend Hannah and I wanted to go on a quad ride during the night. It was during the summer and we were at Hannah’s house and we were bored. So we thought it would be a good idea to go for a ride, so we asked her step dad if we could and he said yes. We both thought it would be super fun to go for a quad ride. So, we get all geared up in proper clothing because it was cold out and off we went.

What would happen next?! She began to go down, she put one foot down on the next step. The ladder began to wobble Chu-yi, holding on tightly stops moving ,and the ladder is still. Chu-yi knew that could have been bad. She makes it half way down the ladder while her heart is beating like a drum. Chu-yi starts to hum the swift birds's song to calm herself. Bang, Chu-yi hears the sound and hurries down the ladder.

As Greg was walking he saw three skeletons all lined up by the entrance. "Are those real skeletons? Or just there to try to scare us?" Greg whispered.
There is nothing that compares to that last game. It makes no difference how exciting every other game is – that last one-it is like no other. Watching my daughter play the last few seconds of the North Half starter game was both exciting and bittersweet. Yes, there have been many games before leading up to this one, yet, this game seems so different. And, though this game starts the tournament and ends her basketball career, it still represents so much more.
The deep waters of sorrow and pain have overwhelmed me in the past months. Agony and despair has left me breathless as I stay on the surface of the waters, trying to find the hope and love deep down in the water. I am scared to go further to discover as I might drown in the love from the Father who loves me so. The waters can only keep me sane for so long until I let go and let God take over. The waves have overwhelms my eyes that I have become blind; blind with anger and violence so that my emotions have become equal with the storms. How can your love seem so innocent as the farther I go it becomes more dangerous? I am left breathless as you take me deeper. Deeper into something that can leave me wanting more.
Coming to in the hospital room surrounded by the doctors was heart-wrenching and frightening. Elizabeth had never been sick for more than a day or so in her entire life, and she knew whatever happened to her would be a life-changing experience.
After I met with the Knights of Columbus, I drove out to my aunt’s place. As we ate lunch, she said, “You know your father was kicked out of the Knights for arguing with the pastor over the parting of the Red Sea,” and she went on to tell me the story. He said an asteroid landed in the Mediterranean Sea, and it had an affect like dropping a rock in a puddle. It pushed the Red Sea into the Gulf of Aden, and by the time the Egyptian Army entered the Red Sea, the waters were returning to their normal elevation.
The unfortunate event began a completely new and terrifyingly dreadful life experience in which all my previous hard endeavors of securing the structurally sound habit of dedication, commitment, and studying I exercised extensively during my senior year, with the inner weapon of possessing powerful agency to absorb material with an extreme passion and letting my heart beat madly on long-distance runs whenever possible were indeed losing their color at a quickening pace. Suddenly I began to doubt my worth and the world’s lessons soon disappeared from my unawakened consciousness. The delicate networks of improvement and inner faith were becoming swept into a tide wayward, far out to sea where the light of my touch couldn’t embrace it.
A mysterious yet beautiful unknown hidden world to human eyes which held the deepest, shimmering eternal blue, just like the finest sapphire jewels or the prettiest earth flowers, hidden deep beneath the dark crystal waters. I was born in these waters, and to the ocean is where I will return and die. I closed my eyes, as I turned my face to the wind. The warm, gentle breeze caressed my bare ivory skin, as I felt the warmth and feeling return to the edges of my fingertips.
I was standing in line with my friends Liya and Kathryn and my dad who was buying four Six Flags tickets. Our bodies were all sweaty from the hot burning weather. My mouth slowly opened and I hardly breathed like some crazy animal was chasing me. It was so hot! I grabbed the dark green tall water bottle from my dad’s blue backpack, and pressed my lips against the little plastic straw and started hungrily drinking the fresh clean water. Then my hands quickly put the water bottle in the small black pocket of the backpack.
lowly walking, I didn't know where I was.I was so confused that I couldn't bare to looking at anyone. That's when I saw the sign. The words,”Arbeit Macht Frei,(Work Sets You Free)”.That sign still reminds me of the terrible thing that I have witnessed and experienced. We were walking in Auschwitz, I told Elie that we shouldn't worry and we should stay together but I couldn't stop thinking about what was going to happen. We walked in and I could see women, men, and children.Skinny and weak. I was worried about Elie. Hilda.Beatrice.Tzipora. Shlomo. Me.I didn't know what to say.I didn't know how to express how I felt. I told everyone not to worry like I did. ”Okay, mother.”Don't worry. Everything will be okay”.While we were standing I could hear 8 little but very impactful words.”Men to the left!
It has been two years since you passed. It has been a year since I unearthed your vacant coffin with Oskar. Yet, it has been less than a second since you came to my mind. A day has yet to pass where I do not ponder of you, imagine you. I have seen pictures and heard stories of you, yet it always pains me that I could not have a place within them. I know nothing of you, my own child. In fact, I cannot call you, Thomas Schell, mine. There is nothing of me in you, and that will always be my deepest regret. If I had two lives, I would spend them both with you, as if that would somewhat compensate for the unjust life I forced upon you. A life without a father. Though, a boy need-not be raised by man, when a woman as sturdy as your mother is in place. I
