My First Plane ride
“Brrrring” rang the alarm. When I woke up I had to take a shower. I woke up around 7:30am just before my grandma came to pick us up(my brother Chris, sister Megan, My mom, and I). We were going to Florida to go down to Disney. All of us are riding in two airplanes down to Disney, and this will be my first plane ride that I went on. My grandma picked us up at our house and the airport is an hour away from us. When we got to the airport it didn’t take long to get through the security to the wait room before we had to go on the airplane. We waited for about an hour for it to arrive and be al set to go.
When the airplane arrived, we bored in about 15 minutes, and when we bored we all found our seats and one of us had to sit alone. The person who sat alone was my grandma because she went on many of flights and she didn’t want my brother and I sitting right next to a stranger. When, we were about to take off the wings had some snow and ice on them. It took the workers about an hour to get all of the snow/ice off. In the meanwhile it got hot in the airplane, and I went to the bathroom after waiting 5 minutes for someone to get out, and I started getting hungry.

First, we had to fly to Detroit, Michigan after leaving Escanaba, Michigan, and the ride to Detroit was about 45 minutes. When we got to Detroit we all went to the bathroom because we were on that airplane for a long time. My mom and grandma wanted to show us the underground light tunnel. The tunnel was spectacular and it played some type of alien music. In the tunnel was some escalators on the right and left side so we didn’t need to walk through the whole thing. If we had to walk it would have taken quite a while because the light tunnel was pretty
This summer, in the first week of August, we went to Brighton, Michigan. I along with my grandma Sharon, my same age uncles: Logan and Cole, and my brother Hayden were all going. At 10:30 AM we left, getting into her in her car piling our stuff in. This consisted for me of 3 books, a deck of cards, a stick of deodorant and a few changes of clothes. I finished the first book, Rangers Apprentice The Lost Stories, about three hours down the road and halfway through it we stopped at the Iowa I-80 truck stop, the world's largest truck stop, for lunch. After that I talked with Cole for another two hours. We stopped at a rest stop just out of Chicago and stretched out our legs. from there it was a straight run up into Michigan and from there into
When I turned 5 my mom took me on a trip to someplace strange, I didn’t really know where I was going all I knew was I’d finally get to meet my dad. So after about a week long trip I arrived in Laredo Texas, where we stayed for a week or so before we were driven to Austin. My life completely

When I was around 6 or 7 years old, my family decided to go to Yosemite National Park over the summer. We went on Saturday and during the morning so we could get there early. After about 30 minutes on the road, we stopped at a resting area. We ate there for about 15 minutes and used the restroom. My dad told us that if we wanted to get there early, we had to go right then. My family and I were back on the road and arrived there in 2 hours. I slept the whole way so I couldn't watch the environment as we passed by. When we got there, we entered the park and ate. I was so excited that I ran ahead of my family. I could feel the cool breeze and smell the fresh tree like scent as I ran. My brother asked if we could split into groups and my dad agreed. We split into groups and we started our adventure. I was with my grandma and my sister. The other group was my dad, my mom, and my brother. We also decided to meet at the a certain point at sunset.
The Ride is the story of the heinous and gruesome murder of ten year old, Jeffrey Curley, a case that is familiar to many in the Massachusetts area. The book works its way from the grisly crime to the years afterward. It focuses on the family of Jeffrey, heavily weighted on the life of Cambridge Firefighter Bob Curley, Jeffrey’s father. Charles Jaynes and Salvatore Sicari, both from Jeffrey’s neighborhood were convicted of the murder. Within this essay I will demonstrate from The Ride the relationship between reporting and suffering that may have been brought on for the crime victims of this case, the relationship between the victim profiles and the victim family profiles, the role in which the family may have played in the
When I was 3 years old, just 19 months after my sister was born, we went on a trip to Florida. We had to wake up at about 3:00 a.m. ,because it takes us an hour to get are luggage in the truck and to get everyone up and dressed. Our truck was a black Suburban. It took an hour and a half to get the airport, an hour or two to get our 3 bags of luggage on the plane,to get breakfast,to get coffee for my Mom, Dad, Nana Pat, and, Papa Daryl. Finally, we got a security check for all of us.
I could hear footsteps, when I opened my eyes I saw my dad shaking me by the shoulder. That day we were had to get up at 4am and make our way to an entertainment park. We were already 5 minutes late. It was a morning of rushing around and a bit of frustration. After a short shower I grabbed a snack and jumped into the car. We had a 30 minute car ride ahead of us. This was not our car, we had rented one because we were on vacation in Costa Rica. I was in 7th grade then. It was the last month of the year and my dad had saved money for months for this trip it was our 3rd day into the trip with 4 days to go. My 2 brothers Ian and Gage came with us, Gage was only 5 years old, Ian was 13. Once we arrived at the Entertainment park we were right on time. The gates opened at 6am giving us just enough time to get some breakfast . Once we got there I sat down in the waiting room and waited for my dad to sign the waiver papers. After he finished signing we walked outside into a small area, there were harnesses
The flight to New York was my first time flying in a plane. I was so scared at first because I have seen how big a plane was before, but I had never been in one before. That was my first time ever being that high off the ground and I had gotten to sit by the window. What made it even scarier, but after a little while I was okay after I got used to it and I was okay. The flight was 14 hours from Miami to New York. I ate pizza and I played
My first experience on a plane was unforgettable. The pilot told us to turn off all electronic devices and buckle up for departure. He waited about 15 minutes before he pulled off. My ears popped vigorously at the rising altitude. However, despite the pain going on in my ears, I couldn’t help but laugh. Unfortunately, I was seated directly next to my younger brother Johnny. I looked over to him to see if he was experiencing the same excruciating pain I was experiencing. He was. The hilarious part about it though is that he was crying. It was absolutely hysterical! My mom scolded me for laughing at my younger brother, but I just couldn’t stop laughing. He eventually stopped crying once we were about twenty thousand feet in the air. I had the window seat so I had the advantage of looking out the window. The view was astounding! It was sunset and the sun gleamed over the clouds like a field of buttered mashed potatoes. I felt like I was in Heaven while the plane glided through the clouds. It made me anticipate our destination even
During my ride along with Officer McNairy of the Castle Rock Police department we had two cases of harassment, one welfare case, and one traffic violation that we worked on. Both harassment cases were easy enough, as was the traffic violation which we let go with just a warning. Welfare cases don’t normally go to police officers to manage, but on the day of my ride along one was. I had a very good time during my ride along and will probably do more in the future.
My family was on the way to the Reagan National Airport and we got stuck in traffic and we had missed our flight. Our parents had bought us new tickets for later that day and we were waiting for the people to tell us that we could board the plane but they had given our seats away.My parents were so mad and they had to talk to the people that had given us our new tickets and we had to buy new tickets for tomorrow it was night by the time we got out of the airport. We decided to say at my aunt’s house because it was closer to the airport and we
Early that morning we woke up, got ready, and started our adventure. The long, boring drive was over 2 hours, but the fun finally started when we arrived. With the weather being a slight drizzle all day there were not that many people there. We got on the rides with almost no wait time. The very first roller coaster that we were going to go on broke down as we were waiting in line. Being impatient as I am, we got out of line, but of course as soon as we did the ride was fixed.
Like it was yesterday I remember my first vacation on a cruise. My Dad and I went on a three- day long cruise to The Bahamas. I had never been on a cruise, so it was a new experience for me. We needed to be in Tampa for our departure, so we drove the two hours from Orlando, Florida to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My Dad and I used this time to talk, make plans for the trip and think about our upcoming adventures on the cruise.
When I was seven years old I went on my very first holiday abroad, to
One morning my dad and I woke up in our hotel room watching the glorious sunrise and were quietly walking down the hallway of the hotel to go to the lobby. In the lobby, there were these huge advertisement banners hanging up that said, "Take a roll through the desert." There were pictures of people riding ATV's in the desert so we decided to go on an adventure.
