My dream has been to travel around the world to enlighten myself on global food and culture. Ironically, I never leave the house and live off of instant ramen noodles. I’m also extremely passionate about creating a positive impact on people’s lives, so I went to Haiti, got a chronic rash, and temporarily turned into the biggest bitch EVER. I have divorced parents, and quite frankly, it would be weird if it were any different. I love my family, particularly because we are all distinctly unique. My older sister, Alex, collects crystals and has an obsession with serial killers and Broadway musicals. Nicky, my younger brother, has anger management issues and is in a ‘taking a selfie while looking at himself in a mirror’ phase. Luckily, I am over the selfie phase, but still working on my anger-management issues. I was also brought up by the coolest mom ever, who thinks she was Indian in her past life. Who am I? I am my family, I am my experiences, I am a rad girl, and according to my mother during my bitch phase, my rash does not define me. My name is Madeline Ley, and I will not sugar coat a single thing. Just to get this over with, I’ve hated the name Mimi ever since someone called it stupid after he asked me to sign his yearbook in the second grade. My once nickname-turned name, Mimi, is Alex’s fault, because she couldn’t pronounce Madeline when I was born. I spent my first few years on earth, hungry and angry. I had a growth in my mouth, and I also had Colic. Unfortunately,
I am Aliyah Shaleese Crawley. I’m just a small town girl. I was born in Fayetteville on September 18, 2001 and was raised in Lake Waccamaw with my mom, dad, and older sister, Amanda. As a baby, I was always bouncing on my bed, looking over the rail. I was constantly smiling with a red rash under my nose from allergies. When I upgraded out of my pen, I was happy playing with my blocks on the regular making houses with them for my dolls play with and sometimes, I'd go organize the tupperware cabinet. I'd sit in front of it, to surprise my mom, even putting a child lock on it so she couldn't get in it.
I often sleep or cook food for my family. As my brother and I grew older, my mom taught us each how to cook, so we take turns. The scrapbook contains memories from when I was 16 years old forward. My blog mostly contains visual art or posts pertaining to music. My biggest fear is spiders, desperately enough so that I taught Trouble to pounce on and kill spiders. I’m a hugely messy, unorganized person. I love playing video games, a love instilled by Josh. My favorite colors are light blue and gray, and I love floral patterns. Wearing dresses provide me with a sense of confidence. I savor easting cookie dough ice cream and drinking sweet tea. Reading outside of schoolwork isn’t among my hobbies; however, my favorite book is The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. My favorite movie is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I love to travel. I hope that one day, I can visit everywhere in the world at least once. Theme parks are one of my favorite places to travel since I absolutely love roller

I’m just a girl from a small town called Dale, South Carolina. I grew up here most of my life but I’ve been back and forth to North Carolina. I currently live in Burton, South Carolina now still with my parents and other three siblings. As a child, I was troubled. I grew up as a preacher’s kid it runs in the family. I hardly missed a Sunday of church but that still didn’t stop me from acting up in school. I knew better then to act the way I did but I always had to prove myself to somebody. I was always named a bully because of my size even before somebody took the time to get to know me I guess that’s the life I chose. I live with both my mom and dad, plus my 3 siblings. I have 4 siblings total but I only see my other sister on my dad’s side

My family, well my parents are divorced but that’s okay because I now have a second mom, three times the love is better than two. Also I have twelve siblings, my whole family is crazy, funny, but also intellectual. People would describe me as crazy, energetic, outgoing, a "blonde", but also I can be a smarty pants. In my free time, in which I get very little of, I enjoy to relax and use my electronics.
As a species we’ve always looked for ways to be faster, stronger, smarter, and live longer. Many enhancements we take for granted today; blood transfusions, vaccinations, and birth control, seemed unnatural or immoral when first introduced. Yet over time we’ve become accustomed to these controls over our minds and bodies, and have used them to better ourselves and our world. Imagine a society without disease, cancers, or heredity disorders. Life span would increase and IQ raised. Mental illness eliminated. Alzheimer’s gone. Hereditary problems, like baldness eradicated. Technology exists to diagnose flawed DNA in pre-implantation embryos, empowering humans to create a stronger, healthier child. Scientists place a new/modified gene into a
I’m Hailey Yem, and I’m twelve years old. On December 15th, 2004, I was born at the Kapiolani Medical Center. I have two older sisters (Ivy and Kloe), one younger sister (Niki), and two younger brothers (Kirin and Kaiden). I live at home with my family, my sister’s cat Stitch, and my pet dog named Auggie. At home, I help watch my little siblings and clean up around the house. I cause a lot of trouble, but I do love my family. My family influences how I react to different situations and who I tend to hang out with.
Have you ever wondered who people are? If you want to understand who I am you have to know a few things. You need to understand where I’m from, what I like, and my siblings.
This critical evaluation essay will be on Martin Luther King’s speech “I Have a Dream”. This speech was delivered during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on 28 August 1963. This march was initially organized to focus on the economy, but as the date grew near, the focus shifted to social issues in the country. This march was attended by more than two hundred thousand people, to include the many actors, musicians, and the civil rights leaders. Martin Luther King said “I am happy to join you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation”. (King). Martin Luther King not only touch the hearts of so many that day, and on that he made people aware that there was work
How many people do you know in the world who can be picked out of a crowd just by their hair? Not many. I just happen to be one of those people. My hair is a large, frizzy mess of curls which is very hard to tame. I have a face that is dotted with freckles in the summer. While most people tan, I freckle! My height is an outstanding 5 foot and 4.25 inches. The life of heels and stools is one in which I shall live. I have one sister, Brianna. She is 11 years old and one of the biggest pains in my life but I love her anyway. Shelly and Chris Boyk are my parents, they are very supportive in everything that I do. I used to have a fish, his name was Kristoff, after Anna’s love interest in Frozen. Last year, I got to go on a once in a lifetime
It is very good to have dreams but dreams usually are not tangible. Instead, goals have a good chance to

In the early twentieth century, film maker and producer Adolph Zukor met Jesse Lasky, owner of Jesse L. Lasky Feature Play Company. The two men admired each others previous work and, in 1916, decided to combine forces. They created Paramount pictures and had one of the most familiar slogans in the film industry, “If it’s a Paramount Picture it’s the Best Show in Town”. Proving their slogan true they started turning out more than two pictures per week. During it’s peak in the silent film making era, Paramount was making 5 million dollars a year more than other production companies such as Warner, Fox, and Universal.(Paramount)
Deep down, I’ve always been my own person. I’ve always wanted to be different from the rest and stand out. I suppose that’s what led me to where I am today. I have to say that I am very fortunate; even after all the bad things, it could’ve been worse. Currently, I am living in a dream. I finished my first year of college with a GPA of 3.8 after I struggled in the first semester, I am in the Marching Southerners Color Guard for the second year, and I have my own apartment. I am also very lucky to have a boy friend of 3 years who is a wonderful person. He sets the bar in being a gentleman.
