My Career Goals: An Immigration To The United States

When I first started college, my academic goals were to learn as much as possible, join a Christian fellowship, get into the criminal justice program, decide whether or not to go to graduate school, and to graduate in four years. In addition, to also to either get a job or get accepted into an internship. My overall goal was to enjoy and make the most out of my college experience. My career goals back when I was a freshman, were to figure out if I want to join law enforcement or go to law school and find a job in the field of criminal justice, while being happy working the job. Over the course of two years, some of those goals have been achieved and some goals have been changed.

Four SMART Goals regarding my courses, and degree efforts that I would make is to have a final grade of an A for each course taken, finish my degree within two and a half years, make it Connecticut to walk across the stage for graduation, and obtain a master’s degree in Human Services. I feel like if I don’t push myself to succeed, no one else will. Aiming for the final course grade of an A is attainable if I put in the effort and dedication it takes to pass each course. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to obtain a college degree. Now that I am older I feel as if I should push myself a little further and not only set out to obtain a degree, but to graduate Cum Laude at the least. That is my ultimate goal. Career goals and education at this point is getting my generals done and transferring to a university. My career goals are pretty open, with thoughts toward two complete different fields: business management or early childhood development. A lot of challenges have come from my education. My College and Career goals include graduating college and getting a job. I wish to attend the University of Alabama. I plan to major in occupational therapy or speech therapy. After I graduate with my bachelor's degree I wish to get my master's degree. After I finish my schooling I want to receive a job that allows me to provide for my family. My goals include finishing high school, then moving on to college. One of my academic goals is to graduate high school with an honors diploma and increase my G.P.A to a 4.3 at the end of my eighth semester. Everyone should have personal goals that evolve around anything that needs to be accomplished. I set goals on a daily basis. One goal that I seem to have not truly focused on has been my college education. Considering all things, I decided I needed to focus on my college education. The first thing I needed to accomplish was to enroll in an institution for higher learning. Now that my enrollment is complete, I am an official student at the University enrolled in the undergraduate program for business management.
