Music: A Music Analysis

The composer wrote this charming piece of music because he knows the audience likes showy pieces. It was based on the appeal of tunes he heard during his childhood. I enjoy the sound of the piano being played, and I loved how the composer uses it to make this very admirable piece.

On Saturday, November 14th, 2015 the Newsies touring company performed at the Straz Center in Tampa, Florida. Newsies is a musical based on real events that occurred in 1899 when newspaper boys went on strike. This essay will be on the performance attended and opinions based on what was seen. There are many things that can make a difference on whether or not the performance was successful such as the costumes, the text itself, the music, the performances by the actors, the choreography, and the stage and scenic design.

Since I was a small child I have always been musically inclined. My dad being a musician and producer, and my uncles being popular reggae artists, it is easy to understand my interest. Growing up, I taught myself to play several instruments, including the xylophone and the piano, and made many failed attempts at the guitar. I also experimented with singing, participating in both school and church choir as an alto. As a child, I found Beyoncé to be one of my biggest inspirations. In fact, some of the most memorable moments I had regarding music at this time revolved around her. We can usually listen to the music in various scenes in life. But we don't often just concentrated on listening. The same was the case with me before. Especially, I was ignorant in classical music. But now I like listening to orchestra concert from the front row seats. It is a quite wonderful experience. Since my children start learning how to play the violin, I came to listen to classical music. After I could a little understand artistic features of classical music, I listened to it with rapt attention. I especially came to like Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. I was listening it through only my computer, but on the whole I was satisfied.

So, when I listened to Mozart’s piece. I thought this was such an amazing piece to listen to. I liked how it was so different with the rhythm and the changing of sounds between the musicians who played it. It started out as calming and refreshing. Then, suddenly it’s so fast pacing, but in an energetic mode. It’s so amazing I loved it. However, it might sound weird, but I have actually listened to this song before when I was studying. It helps me actually retain a lot of information in such a fast pacing tempo. The melody of this piece stranded out the most. However, while the piece was running along then it was very peaceful and joyful. The performance was very professional. I really liked how the musicians were very properly organized

This paper is meant to cover is meant to cover the Sociology of Music. Ever since the 5th grade, music has been one of the channels I've used to express myself and relate myself to. I regularly listen to music in most all occasions such as: in the car, walking to class, in the shower, in the morning, and most of my leisure. Personally, I don’t have a kind of genre that I prefer and I listen to most genres from Country to Jazz and Underground Rap. I'm always open to listen to other peoples music to help create a wider variety in the music I listen to. When you hear the word rhythm, you probably instantly think of a pattern or beat. While you are not wrong, the real definition of rhythm is an orderly flow of music through time. When the composer chooses to play with the rhythm of a song, he is effecting the audiences interest in the music. For example, if a song didn't hold a somewhat steady beat through its entirety, the listener will become thrown off and confused. This will cause the loss of focus on the music piece and more attention to go to why the composer chose to do that. Another important piece of rhythm is tempo. In my experience "contemporary" has taken on the meaning of "pop" music, or what is being played on the radio. I, however, have not listened to a radio in upwards of ten years. In loosening the true definition of "contemporary" artists, the modern music I listen to varies a lot. I listen to Japanese and French artists, heavier bands, southern rock, 1990's pop music, grunge and alternative, pop-punk, acoustics, classical, oldies. Lately I have been getting into spoken word bands. In my current state, the three bands I have been most listening to are Taking Back Sunday, Hotel Books, and Movements.

It’s very hard to tell what really pushed me to music. Because my surrounding was absolutely unmusical there was nobody in the family who played even an instrument or was really interested in classical music.
