When Tampa Bay selected Doug Martin with the 31st pick in the 2012 NFL Draft they believed they’d found their running back for the next ten years. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for the Buccaneers. Martin showed glimpses of how talented he was, but will be remembered in Tampa for his injuries and PED use. Martin recently found a home with the Oakland Raiders where he will look for a fresh start under a familiar face, Jon Gruden. The “Muscle Hamster” hit the scene like he ended his career at Boise State, dominant. In 2012, Martin rushed 319 times and racked up an impressive 1,454 yards. He found the end zone 11 times. He earned a selection to the Pro Bowl that year and was a finalist for Rookie of the Year. The Buccaneers hit gold with
Marshawn Lynch (as you saw in the last page) is my favorite football player. He plays for the Seattle Seahawks, he’s number 24 and is a running back. His numbers in rushing yards are amazing, he has over 9,000 yards just by running and 74 touchdowns. He has 9 receiving touchdowns with 1,900 yards. He is known as “Beast Mode,” for breaking many tackles and running through whoever’s in front of him. He got sponsored by the candy called skittles, he would eat them before his games, on the side lines, and even after the game. He loved them, and obviously they were his favorite candy Skittles realized this and decided to sponsor him. He retired May 21, 2016, at the age of 30.
As a true freshman, Clowney played all 12 games of the regular season for South Carolina. In his debut, he completed 7 tackles, a quarterback hurry, and a pass breakup. A week later, he completed his first quarterback sack against Georgia. Overall, he completed 36 tackles for the season, 12 of which resulted in a loss of yardage. The SEC ranked him 8th for sacks and he was the only freshman in the top 10. Clowney also earned SEC Freshman of the Year and was named to the All-SEC second team.
The former University of Florida and Wharton High School star has been told the right cornerback spot is his to lose. But when the Bucs go to their sub packages with five defensive backs, Hargreaves moves inside to the slot, showing the kind of versatility by a defensive back not seen in Tampa Bay since Ronde Barber retired.
As his NFL career took off, he yet again set records and impressed football fans. He played for the Buffalo Bills for eight
Simeon James Rice; for nearly ten years the name drove fear into opposing defenders with the same force that Rice drove Quarter Backs into the ground. The 1996 3rd overall pick by Arizona racked up an impressive career and a plethora of awards and accolades in a career a decade long, most of that spent with our beloved Buccaneers.
Do you think that Jerry Rice is the greatest wide receiver in the NFL out of all time? To mainly everybody yes he is. Do you want to find out read about him and say your opinion on what you think about him, Jerry Rice played for San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, and the Seattle Seahawks Rice was born October 13th 1962? He was an average wide receiver size seeing as he was six foot two inches. Jerry was very fast he ran the 40 yard dash in only 4.71 seconds. Rice wore number 80 because it was retired and the retired football player wanted him to play with his number and Rice was okay with the number 80. Rice is just like any other receiver but he had heart and also gave it from time to time so now you’re going to get information to let you know he is the best wide receiver of all time.
Martin was never the same and many may even go as far as to say that he hasn't been the same since first being injured following his amazing rookie season. Disregarding his 2015 season when he was atop the NFL. Six seasons, with four of them under 500 yards and two of them over 1400 yards, has allowed ample time for Doug Martin to get back into the swing of things. He simply has not gotten his groove back.
Rasul Douglas made a name for himself during his time at WVU. In his senior season, Douglas had eight interceptions, one touchdown, and 101 total yards in 13 games played, also leading the nation in interceptions. Douglas' playing style did not only earn him honors such as WVU Defensive Player of the Year but it also earned him an invitation to the Senior Bowl, to which he has turned heads and has made a name for himself.
De’Shaun Buzzwell was born on October 13th, 1989 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was always really fast and had a lot of energy. Because of this, his mother put him into sports. He played baseball, football, and basketball. His favorite sport was football. He played on an elite traveling football team that he was the star of. His dream was to play college football for Oklahoma State University. He worked day in and day out. Because of his hard work and effort, not only did he get his dream of playing for OSU, it also gave him a first round draft pick with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That didn’t automatically mean that he was the best player on the team though. He had a very rough first season, only playing in five games and having the worst average rushing yards for rookie W.R., and only scored one touchdown in the season In the off-season, he didn’t expect to get anywhere. But, his friend worked with him every day in the off-season. They worked every other day on speed, agility, endurance, and strength. He never quit. His hard work in the off-season paid off, as he played in fourteen out of his team’s sixteen games for the season and averaged the best rushing yards for a wide receiver for the entire NFL, and had eight touchdowns. The
The Denver Broncos wide receiver already played six seasons in the NFL but even though he had a very successful career, his team's recent win will definitely be the most memorable for the professional football star.
Before him there were others. Brady Quinn, Tim Couch, Luke McCown, Charlie Frye, Colt McCoy, Brandon Weeden--you have heard of at least some them. The Browns drafted them, thinking one might finally be the franchise quarterback, the one to lead the team back to the glory days it had in the early 1960's, when it last won an NFL championship. Some had pretty impressive credentials. Tim Couch was chosen number one in the entire draft and had been the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy. The Browns drafted McCown the year the team could have picked Ben Roethlisberger, who has led the Pittsburgh Steelers to multiple Super Bowl appearances and victories. He only
MORGANTOWN, W.Va.--Over the last several years, speedy wide receivers are one thing the West Virginia University football team can be known for.
He played running back in high school, he was #1. When he got to college he told the world I don’t wanna play running back anymore. He said he wanted to play free safety. So, his coach saw his intelligents, speed and how achieve he was and let him play that position. If you look up his stats, that just explains how good he was in college. He only played in college for 2 years because he was so good.
The Miami Dolphins are thirsty for a running back, currently with six of them active on the roster. The Dolphins’ stable of back include veteran Arian Foster, who Miami signed in free agency, last year’s fifth-round draft pick Jay Ajayi, this year’s draft selection Kenyan Drake and the familiar faces around Miami, Daniel Thomas and Damien Williams. But none of those backs are turning heads in the preseason like Pead.
Today I will be writing about the similarities, differences, and opinion of the book and movie. The story is about a child that had been kidnaped by a group of Indians. The main characters were True son, Halfarrow, little crane, shenandoah, True Sons Indian father and his white parents. True son acts as if his white family wasn’t his family. The story ended with true son running off with his uncle’s slave.
