There weren't many flaws in Ms. Mohammed's work performance. However, there is some advice that I would give her that could impact her work performance in the future. Ms. Mohammed has the tendency to take on the world. Although she performs well under pressure, I'd advise her not to over work herself and take on the responsibilities of others. Ms. Mohammed can be very task oriented and I've noticed that she sometimes wouldn't take a break for the entire duration of the shift. Therefore I'd advise her to take some time to herself during shifts. There has been times when Ms. Mohammed would come in early or stay late to ensure that things weren't left undone. Moving forward I would advise her to utilize delegation more, when appropriate. Throughout

Makayla Sault, a now 11-year old Ontario First Nation girl, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia last March. She then began chemotherapy treatment and was given a 75 percent chance of survival with the treatment. She underwent 12 weeks of chemotherapy. During this time, she experienced severe side effects and at one point ended up in intensive care. At this time, Makayla said she had a vision of Jesus, and then wrote a letter to her doctors asking to stop her treatment. With the support of her family and the resistance of the doctors, the children’s aid society that handled the case ultimately granted Makayla’s wish. She then pursued traditional indigenous medicine and other alternative treatments. She died last month after suffering a stroke.

¬¬Donald Marshall Jr championed the fight for Mi’kmaq fishing rights in Nova Scotia. In 1993 Marshall was confronted by RCMP while fishing eel out of season with no license and selling the catch for profit. This lead to a court case defending the right to fish as a means of self-sustainment for all Mi’kmaq, which he pointed out was outlined within his treaty rights with the crown. This was a historical victory for indigenous people across Canada. Law passed as a result of the supreme-court case known as the Martial decision, which recognized that Mi’kmaq in Nova Scotia were guaranteed right to fish and hunt across the province as to survive and make a living as it is stated in the Peace and Friendship treaties of the 1700’s.
