1. Characters- Moxie Fleece is a girl and she makes a bad mistake. Gramps is Moxie’s grandpa and he has Alzheimer’s. Ollie is Moxie’s friend and he loves to go geocaching. Ollie help Moxie with the mystery she has in the book.
2. Background- Moxie Fleece is at her house and the doorbell rings. Moxie’s parents have many family rules, and one is when the doorbell rings you are not allowed to open it if no one is home. Moxie is usually a good girl and always listens to her parents.
3. Motivation- Moxie opened the door when she was sopost to, and it was this older girl looking for Moxies grandpa. Moxie’s grandpa was in the resident home because he was suffering from Alzheimer’s. This girl didn’t believe Moxie and was looking all over their house for her. Because Moxie was home alone she had no clue what to do. This older girl left and she wanted to find out who this girl was and why she was looking for her grandpa.

Setting- The setting is the huge town of Boston. This book is in present time. Moxie loves to explore around her town. She goes around with her friend every day.
5. Conflict- Moxie is having struggles trying to find who that girl was who rang the doorbell, and was looking for her grandpa.
6. Plot- Moxie has never broken a family rule until the doorbell rings and she makes a bad mistake. A gangster named Sully Cupcakes wants Moxies grandpa, and Sully Cupcakes is trying to get an item but Moxie does not know what. Moxie and her friend Ollie won’t get to see each other anymore because Ollie is going to a different school. The redhead kidnapped Ollie and his friend Moxie for a special item. Moxie has twelve days to stop Sully Cupcakes or she has to pay the price.
7. Resolution- Moxie and Ollie find all the clues who the red headed girl was. The FBI ended up catching the red headed girl. Moxie and Ollie were very happy, and they should not be worried
Not knowing how her mother would feel Mia crept downstairs and out the doors. When she got outside she was greeted by her brother, sister, dad, and her boyfriend. At the bowling alley, Mia and Erik were in teams against Tara and Johnny and then Jeremih switched with Tara. They played multiple rounds until it was time to go eat. Mia's team had won against Tara's team in bowling. After the game, they went to this nice five-star establishment. For an hour they eat, talked, and laughed at some good memories and new memories.

This book is narrated by a fourteen year old girl named Matilda, who goes by the nickname “Mattie.” She is living in Philadelphia during the year 1793, when the horrible yellow fever epidemic hits the area. Matilda lives with her mother and grandfather. Her father had passed away due to a ladder accident. The loss of her husband was very hard on Matilda’s mother making her turn cold. The family owns and runs a coffee house with the help of Eliza a free black women who cooks and Polly the servant girl. One day when Polly didn’t show up for work they assume she was secretly watching her crush Matthew work in the blacksmith garage. However when Matilda's mother goes out she finds out that Polly had not just been late to work, she had passed away.
A little girl, named Sophia walker, was given a large doll by her parents. It was a gift from her great grandmother who had sadly passed on. Sophia was instantly unsettled by the doll, it had big black eyes that seemed to follow you around the room. Sophia, had the impression that she was expected to take the doll, because she was well raised and didn't want her parents to be upset by not taking it. The doll's name was Suzie, which made Sophia even more scared of it. Sophia thought to herself, “It was just a doll. There was nothing to worry about.” So she put her mind at ease.
Her and her husband noticed their neighbors crying in the hallway and wondered if someone had died. Her husband had suggested that they not interfere, but she was very curious as she said “Gregg had suggested we shouldn’t interfere, but curiosity had gotten the best of me. Id called the all-knowing cleaning lady.” (Schmitt 107) The cleaning lady had told her that they were crying because the old man isn’t there anymore.
When the family went into the Agricultural Inspection, the officer wanted to examine their stuff. Ma was crying how “Granma’s [awfully] sick” and giving reasons how the family had to go. The officer let the family leave because when he beamed a light at Grandma, she looked very sick and dead. Then the family reached California, Ma finally told them that Grandma was dead. She told them that she did not want the officer to delay their trip to California.
This story takes place in Philadelphia a little after the Revolutionary War we know this because the main character says so “My city Philadelphia was wide awake. “ this was on page 8 of 293. We also know that her family owns a cafe` as Matilda says ,” My family owns the cook
The mother arrived at the library little past 4:15 P.M. because she walked to 7-Eleven to get Gillian some snacks including Guava juice and Pringles. While Gillian was in the car, the mother asked for her preferences of chip flavors. In front of the library, Gillian took off to run away and hid behind the trees although this worker tried to call her back. Gillian then ran into the library and hid underneath the checkout computers. When this handed her some cookies, Gillian crawled out and pretended to be a lion. Grabbing the cookies, she said “thank you” and continued hiding. When the mother arrived, Gillian ran towards her to give her a hug. They checked in a group study

The town Killdeer, was named after the Killdeer bird that was popular in that area. The town had a population of 30,000. Susie’s mother opened the door to let Molly, Susie’s babysitter, inside. Ten-month old Susie seemed happy to see Molly. Susie then observed her mother put her jacket on and Susie’s face turned from smiling to sad as she realized that her mother was going out. Molly had sat for Susie many times in the past month, and Susie had never reacted like this before. When Susie’s mother returned home, the sitter told her that Susie had cried until she knew that her mother had left and then they had a nice time playing with toys until she heard her mother’s key in the door. Then Susie began crying once again.
On a clear sunny day a seventeen year old girl was cleaning her room. She just moved into a new house and neighborhood. The family bought new furniture from an old lady that was having a yard sale. The old lady was short and chunky; she introduced herself as Beatrice Walker. The girl Lucy was tall, skinny, with long blonde hair, and had blue eyes she got a white dresser with purple and green flowers on the drawers, and a mirror was attached to the back of the dresser.
