I was the only one that didn’t know. My family was hiding something for me, but I didn’t know what it was. Today was like any other day. We had Math, English, Science, Social Studies, Gym, lunch, and my favorite recess. I heard the bell ring telling us it was time to go home. The foot march is 10k with full battle rattle all equipment; about one hundred pounds, whoever falls out will be recycled and will start basic training all over again. Basic rifle marksmanship is about twelve days straight of waking up at 0400 and shooting all day at the range until 2000 then going to bed and doing it again. Engagement skills include tactical movement with live fire this includes a range with a bunch of obstacles we had to pass as a team while covering my battle buddy we had to shout Cover Me While I Move. then your battle yells out I Got You Covered. they opened fired towards the target while the other ran to the next obstacle then you rotate so it’s your turn to cover them. We had to learn how to move as a unit and cover each other, we also learned how to flank and cover each
It was a small town in Cornersville, Ohio. Nothing much ever happened in this small town until one day. A new family moved in one afternoon. Everyone was surprised because no one even noticed the house being built. Everyone was still delighted that they moved in because the couple, Bob and Nancy, were very friendly. Bob and Nancy helped with all the activities in town and were very generous. A couple of weeks after they moved in, a lot of strange things began. Money started disappearing, the lights in the town went out every night except for Bob and Nancy's lights, even people's pets went missing. One night, everyone's lights went out at 11:30 as usual, except there was an extremely loud noise. The neighbors went outside to see where all the

Ines Hernandez-Avila’s article, “Relocations upon Relocations: Home, Language, and Native American Women’s Writings” argues that Native American women are negotiating their own terms as they attempt to reestablish their cultural identities. Native American women often overcome abuse, alcoholism, rape and other atrocities, serving as important topics discussed in their poetry. Another argument addressed in the article states that the concepts of home and community are fluid for many Native American poets. Because of Native American enslavement and exile, many poets discuss how their ancestors consider their homes to be wherever they can gather and share their common experiences and language. The final argument made in the article examines how relocation, particularly the policies that sent Native Americans away
Some more important things they were taught were drilling, route marching with full equipment. Soldiers were expected to be able to march four and a half miles per hour. The most important part of training was weapons training. They were taught how to fight with swords and spears and how to defend themselves with their shields.
On the second day, we learned more formation stances and positions including fall in, fall out, present arms, order arms, attention, at ease, left face, right face, and about face. I also was introduced on how to operate a military-style living space. In the morning when everyone got up at 6:30 am, we were required to make sure nothing personal was visible and fix our beds so they were uniform. To do this, we were required to fix each corner of the bed so it had a “hospital corner,” fold the top over, and have the blanket so tight that there are no wrinkles and one could bounce a ball on the bed.

Typically, people like to think getting up and moving to another country is as easy as it sounds. People leave their home countries for various reasons, to escape as a refugee, or immigrate for a change in life. As easy as it seems to be there are so many roadblocks along the way. The country was created thousands of years ago as the holy land but over time, it has gone through different rulers and at many times the Jewish people of Israel was exiled and forced to leave the only country they knew. The history of Israel is important because it dictates as to why immigration and leaving that country to go to others in the Middle East is impossible. People have been dealing with war, military, religious, and gender regulations in Israel
One October day during my junior year of high school, I came home to see my parents anxiously waiting for me behind the kitchen counter. They informed me that my dad had lost his job. My initial worries, although selfish, surrounded what this change would mean for my college education. Without an income, the burden of college would fall solely on my shoulders. Thankfully, seven months later, my dad accepted an offer in a competitive position at a company on the other side of the state. As soon as he accepted this position, he guaranteed a move in the near future.
