Grown Ups The film chosen to reflect developmental psychology in middle adult adulthood. The movie is about n 1978, five 12-year-olds win a basketball championship. Thirty years later, they all come together with their families for their coach's funeral which is at a weekend at a house on a lake where they used to grow up. By now from childhood, each is a grownup with problems and challenges: Marcus is isolated, single, and drinks too much. Rob, has three daughters that never see him and is always deeply in love until he turns on his next ex-wife. Eric is majorly overweight and can never find stable work. Kurt is a househusband who stays home and casually drinks. Lenny is a successful Hollywood agent married to a fashion designer who have very selfish and snotty children. …show more content…

Since middle adulthood is the time of life that lasts from about age 40 to about age 59, a large number of developments and alterations can happen to the body in that time frame. Middle age comes with many new physical challenges, from wrinkles to hearing loss to weight gain. The most evident visual features on people that prove their in the middle adulthood stage are wrinkling and loosening of skin, hair thinning and becomes grayer, and sometimes aging spots around their body. From the result of 40+ plus year of strain on the body, middle aged individuals have loss of muscle mass and joint stiffness which leads to difficulty of movement.
