Upon graduation, Rashelle was able to teach high school science in Duval County. It was during this time that she could no longer ignore the signs of God, “Go and make my people whole.” She was licensed to preach at Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC) in Jacksonville, FL and ordained an Itinerate Deacon in East Florida Conference of the 11th Episcopal District.
This is a story of Will D. Campbell. He was a successful man who was honored by most and hated by some. Campbell was a Mississippi-native who played a major part in the civil rights community. Reverend Campbell was a man of many great accomplishments and goals. When he was seventeen, Campbell was ordained to be a Baptist preacher. He went on to publish many great books including “The Stem of Jesse.” Campbell took on many challenges throughout the years within the activist community. In the 1960s, Campbell became the National Council of Churches and from there he on carried out his work as director of the “Committee of Southern Churchmen.”
Rev. JoAnne Marie Terrell, Ph.D. An African American native of Springfield, Mass., the Rev. JoAnne Marie Terrell is also a mother, scholar, teacher and preacher with a great enthusiasm for Christ. Dr. Terrell is a passionate speaker who has lectured extensively across the nation. Lewis Harrell has served as discipleship and evangelism pastor for the last twelve years. Lewis has gained the reputation in the community as a gifted counselor, person with a laid-back attitude, and leader of outreach to the community. Mickey Gentry has served as music minister in the church for the last twenty-five years. She also has several works written about her sermons. Many praise her for her extraordinary skill in education. Through her sermons, she is able to use the basic scriptures in a manner where it is applicable in our daily lives.

Nadia Bolz-Weber is a female pastor that is on her spiritual journey to learn more about herself. She would have never become a great pastor without living through the experiences she went through. When talking about her spiritual journey, she brings up certain concepts that portray who she really is. I could understand and relate to some of her stories. She teaches herself and talks about others things nobody usually thinks of. She brought up many important stories that changed her life and brought her closer to herself. Nadia talks about concepts, such as self, forgiveness, and purpose.
Looking at the pastor’s life through the thoughts of Jones and Bloom give us some different ideas to explore. Jones’ ideas seem to be practices that a pastor can explore before engaging Bloom’s thoughts. Jones wants the pastor to embrace the stillness of God and begin with the quietness of breathing in the love of God. The stillness prepares a person for the day, so that when called upon the pastor can bring that stillness of presence with her as she serves. Practicing the stillness allows the pastors to embrace what Bloom may describe as meaningful work of the pastor. This is a national women’s conference that’s held every year for women all over the world to unite as one. The goal is to save as many souls as possible and tell the good news of the gospel. Joyce Meyers has been doing this minister for forty years all over the world for every christian believer. Throught this event it has changed me and that’s why I wanted to share it because coming into contact with God has changed my whole life. Not only do you receive a word from God but you can give back to the community and be a partner to save a child’s life. Its an awesome worship experience and the whole trip is well worth who’s you are and who you belong to.
