Despite their long and successful history as a purveyor of powerful brands, Kimberly-Clark has found that it must compete for shelf more aggressively than ever before. As a result, the mighty manufacturer is utilizing Virtual Reality, detailed in-store mock-ups, and enhanced partnerships with major retailers to revolutionize how they compete, win, and retain shelf space in stores. To begin with, Kimberly-Clark’s utilization of virtual reality to test product design, in-store merchandising effectiveness, and assess and evaluate consumer behavior is the company’s first foray into leveraging the cutting edge technology to simulate the shopping experience and assess consumer behavior. Thus, putting Kimberly-Clark on the leading edge of how the retail industry is leveraging virtual reality and augmented reality as tool. …show more content…
Therefore, enabling Kimberly-Clark to push the envelope and further enhance their process for gathering data and making crucial product design decisions. Finally, Kimberly-Clark has utilized this new product design testing process to push through legacy barriers and expand their partnership with major retailers by involving them earlier in the product design testing process and seeking their feedback prior to requesting to acquire more shelf space. Furthermore, Kimberly-Clark has even utilized virtual reality to help their retail partners increase traffic in specific parts of their stores by sharing without the primary focus of the partnership being Kimberly-Clark acquiring more shelf
After Being Dragged out of their homeland, brought to an unknown country, and forced to be slaves, African-Americans saw a road trip to equality through the eyes of Martin Luther King, Jr. Even after being emancipated from slaves to citizens, African-Americans were not ready to wage the battle against segregation alone. The weight which African Americans carried on their back, was lightened when they began to see what Martin Luther King, Jr. brought to the table against segregation. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the single most important African-American leader of the Civil Rights Movement and was responsible for dramatically improving the chance of equality for African-Americans. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the key individual, which helped
McDaniel College had first been created when its first building went up in 1866-1867. The school was the first institution that was south of the Mason-Dixon line and was coeducational. The first name that the school had was Western Maryland. That name originated because the institutions first board chairman (John Smith Wakefield) was president of the railroad, which had been called Western Maryland Railroad. The railroad had run through the college town. McDaniel had been one of forty colleges in the nation to be recognition in the New York Times education writer Loren Pope’s book, “Colleges That Change Lives” ("World Ranking Guide”). The schools colors are green and gold and the mascot is a Green Terror. There are about 1,629 students
For my presentation, I would like to present a president not known much in this time and age but one who, in 1880, made drastic changes to the American government. This man was Chester A. Arthur. The following material is what I have learned in American Government for only but one year, I have still learned more than what I already knew at the beginning of my high school career. I have gained a better understanding of the American political system as well as the history of the system. The second is that I can now put everyday events that happen and see how they correlate to the political system which affects everyday life. The last fundamental that I learned was how to do research.
I chose to use Bayard Rustin’s “Montgomery to Stonewall” essay as my text source, due to its metaphors that help compare the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and other notable social movements to the Gay Liberation Movement of the 1970s. I will be writing in a speech text type using my text source as inspiration. The speaker in my poem is a young African American female who is inspired by Rustin’s message to continue fighting for racial equality and equality for the LGBTQ+ community in the modern age. My speaker is talking to a diverse global audience, who are people willing to stand up to injustice in the world. My speaker’s purpose in the poem is to inspire people to
Who was George Rogers Clark? This is probably a question most people in America couldn't answer. The reason is very simple, George Rogers Clark was a hero in an age of heroism. He simply could not compare with the legends of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other Revolutionary War heroes. Clark nevertheless is very important, especially to the people of Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana who became apart of the United States of America because of his great leadership and bravery in military campaigns at Kaskaskia, Illinois and Vincennes, Indiana during the Revolutionary War.
Throughout history, there have been people whose names and faces have become synonymous with the time periods in which they lived. For example, Julius Caesar is synonymous with the late Roman Republic and George Washington is synonymous with the American Revolution. Just like these two men, the name Robert E. Lee has become synonymous with the American Civil War. Not only did Lee rise to become the most important and recognizable person in the Southern Confederacy, but his honor and virtuous acts during and after the war made him a hero to modern-day Americans. Even though he fought for what many consider the morally erroneous side of the war, the virtues of his character have made him a figure in American history
Robert E. Lee, who was considered to be the greatest soldier fighting for the Confederate

From my own experience, the three companies that could learn lessons from this case study are Walmart, Dollar General, and Family Dollar. To me, these three companies could all use a lot of help when it comes to product placement and meeting their customer needs (O’Brien & Marakas, 2011, p. 419-420). This brings me to the lessons to be learned from this case study. The use of the simulation technology of the virtual store environments is a brilliant concept. It is fast becoming a common practice among consumer product manufacturers and retailers (Breen, 2017). It is faster and more cost efficient than the traditional in-store product testing. It also allows a company to get a more accurate feel of the total shopping experience, just as if they were the

Duke University’s sports programs have been outstanding in the past few years. In my opinion, the basketball program has stood out the most. This school has an extraordinary history that dates back many years. The Blue Devils have won five national championships in their years as a university. They have won a championship in: 1991, 1992, 2001, 2010, and 2015. This ranks them fourth all-time, trailing only: UCLA, who had Hall-of-Famer Lew Alcindor, known today as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar; Kentucky; and North Carolina. The 2015 NCAA Championship winning Duke team is arguably most memorable team in the university’s legendary history. During this season, the Blue Devils finished with a record of thirty-five wins and four losses, the fifth best
There were many people throughout the history of the United States that helped to get equality for African Americans; however, one man's voice moved an entire race. That one man is Martin Luther King, Jr. He has a way of making you listen when he speaks and of making you understand his ideas. Many people did listen and he motivated a whole race of people to strive with him on his quest for equality. The events in his life from early life, civil rights, and later life led him to be one of the most powerful people in the movement towards civil rights.
MUSLIMS! No not ISIS or Al Qaeda. Muslims the ones that actually practice the Islamic faith. Islam means the one who peacefully surrenders to God. Islam first originated from Mecca to Medina and later extended into the West and East. Back in the days, there were only a small number of Muslims, however today there's about 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide. Muslims believe in only one God and that Muhammad, peace be upon him, is his last messenger. Muslims pray five times a day, give to charity, fast during the holy month of Ramadan, and go to pilgrimage. Muslims believe in a set of rules and guides the inhibit drinking alcohol, drugs and premarital sex. Both Muslim men and women are required
In the novel The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, we notice that action only happens in a few places, among which are the forest, the market place, the governor’s residence, and Dimmesdale’s house. Although all these locations are significant to the story, the most important symbol among them is certainly the scaffold in the market place, where the story begins and ends. The scaffold’s meaning changes throughout the story and has different values for different characters. It represents humiliation, then insight, and finally redemption for Hester and Dimmesdale, but for Chillingworth, it symbolizes birth of sin, growth of sin, and ultimately consummation by sin.
Housing approximately 700 students, Hilltop School is a new K-12 facility located in West Unity, Ohio. This rural farm/industrial community has been hit hard recently by the country’s struggling economy. In fact, our county has repeatedly possessed one of the highest unemployment rates in the state. Our district, like many others in Ohio, will face a significant deficit next year due to continued reductions in state and federal funding.
