Monica Bing (née Geller) was born to Jack and Judy Geller where she was raised in Long Island, New York with her older brother Ross. Since her childhood, Monica has always been in the shadow of Ross to both of her parents, especially their mother. Her mother to this day still knocks Monica down for everything she does and does not do. Nothing is simply good enough for her mom. Due to her being in the dark, Monica took out her loneliness with the help of food. This then resulted in Monica becoming “Fat Monica.” While in high school Monica became best friends with the most popular girl in school, Rachel Green. Due to Monica believing that her parents only cared for Ross, Monica always felt alone until food came into the picture. At any moment food was around she would engulf it. For instance, Ross once said that if he did not eat fast he was not able to eat at all. Additionally, food was a void to keep her sad emotions in. For example, she had a flashback of when one of her boyfriend’s got called into work after she worked long and hard on a dinner that she prepared for him. Instead of sulking around, she just began eating. Furthermore, eating was not the only problem that Monica has to deal with. Similar to her mother, Monica has always had a problem with being a perfectionist. She has constantly made cleaning a sport and fun activity to spend her time. Sometimes she rather spends time with her mop and cleaners than hangout with her friends. Also, cleaning does not just end her perfectionist issue. Organization is the key to Monica. Without her labeler, who knows how Monica could function the everyday life. When Chandler was looking for a job, she took it in her best interest to label and file jobs that he could possibly interview for. Chandler asked her why she did that and her response was so that she could simply use the labeler. Likewise, she is always concerned about her precious ribbon draw. Out of the blue, she will freak out if she has the slightest idea that someone could get their hands on it and mess it up. Additionally, she organizes her towels into 11 categories. Is that not 10 more than needed? Furthermore, one specific rule that Monica has is that everything needs to be in place where it was before and by that it cannot move a millimeter without her noticing a change in the room. For example, when Rachel moved in with Monica, she decided to clean the apartment for her; it did not go that great. Rachel thought that moving the ottoman to make an extra seat around the table would be best,
