this case is kind of showing why archaeologists get so angry when people mess with their sites. it is significant to history Because the object is gold and it was something that a person would wear end they were they wouldn't use gold as money they would use gold as important objects in like I look this person have gold so it means they have an important status and the fact that it was a cape that was born makes it all the more important for the society we can it guess that the person who was the leader of the group. Gold was discovered in 1860 in Leadville. Mining in the Leadville Mining District began in 1860 and continued until 1999. During this time, the Leadville district produced about 28.9 million tons of ore, including gold, silver, lead, molybdenum, zinc and copper. Leadville is known for its gold. The town had a gold rush in 1860. All of the gold added up to about 3 million dollars.Gold is mostly used in dentistry for fillings and other tools. That is what leadville colorado mined.
It is a heavy, soft metal easily molded into jewelry but hopeless for implements. Its appeal comes from three qualities. It is rare. It is remarkably inert and will combine with almost nothing around it—the source of its incorruptible image. And it is shiny.” (West. 97) I thought this was interesting because so a lot of the violence and conflicts between Native Americans and the white settlers happened because of Gold. It is hard to imagine that so many people suffered and lost their lives over the possession of something that is practically useless. Many Native American tribes were kicked off of their land because the land that they were occupying at the time was known to contain gold. And several massacres occurred because of this. Elliot West talks about one of these massacres in his book. The sand creek massacre occurred on November 29, 1864 when a seven hundred man military force from the Third Colorado regiment attacked and massacred a large number of Cheyenne Indians who ironically even had an American flag flying over their camp. Two hundred men, women, and children were killed and mutilated by the military force. Although there are other reason why this massacre happened, for example the many raids and skirmishes between Native Americans and whites at the time. But Gold was still one of the main reasons behind not only this massacre, but also other acts of violence against Native Americans. Another aspect of the book that
These beautiful figures are done in a special kind of work. A Hausa artisan talks about the making of the figures is, “done with clay and wax, and red metal[copper], and solder[zinc], and lead, and fire… Next it is set aside to cool, then the outside covering of clay is broken off” (Doc 7). This African culture wasn't the only cultural accomplishment in Africa; the Kingdom of Ghana reached a great feat in wealth from the Saharan gold and salt trade. An Arab scholar named Al-Bakri in 1067 described the kings county in Ghana as a, “domed pavilion around which stand ten horses with gold embroidered trappings.

The following is the journey of a hero who goes by the name of the Bronze Prism. The Bronze Prism is a hero who fights for justice, no matter the cost because he is genuinely concerned about the welfare of others. His nonviolent ways allow him to dethrone enemies by projecting images and illusions into their very minds. By day he is known as Bryan Smith and by night he is known as the Bronze Prism.
Gold was used for many different things and it was valued very much during the past and even now it is valued. A common use of gold was when it had been turned into
The Greek Exhibition section of The Royal Ontario Museum houses this replica, one made by an unknown artist, of an original, gold funeral mask said to be a depiction of the face of the Mycenaean King, Agamemnon. Known widely as the Death Mask of Agamemnon, the original artefact dates to 1550 BC, which corresponds with the Greek Bronze Age when metals were being worked due to technological advancements in various urban societies of the world. It is a marvel of craftsmanship as much as of cultural and technological prowess of that age since the original was made from a single sheet of almost pure gold.
It was found in an ancient tomb, which was uncovered by accident during construction work on a road. It consists of only six pages, but all of them are made from gold that is fastened with golden rings. The contents of the book includes text as well as images of a horseman, lyre, and warriors.
With Atahualpa as their hostage, the Spaniards began sacking the city, stripping sacred religious objects from the temples of the sun and moon. Atahualpa, saw that the Spaniards valued gold and silver so highly. Therefore he made Pizarro an offer he knew he could not refuse. In exchange for his freedom, The Emperor promised to fill his massive prison cell with gold that extended as high as Pizarro could reach his hand with two rooms with silver. This was one of the artifacts that was there. I picked this artifact because it looks unique and different I’m tired of always seeing the same stuff so I decided to chose this one.
To understand the controversy that has plagued the Praeneste fibula, one must look into the details of the artifact and unique features of the inscription. The Praeneste fibula is a gold brooch, which was reportedly found at Praeneste in 1871. Either men or women could have used the fibula as a means of holding together clothing garments. The artifact was alone, but is assumed by scholars to be a part of an entire outfit because of the valuable nature.
Though this was never confirmed and the artifact was found with other artifacts dating around 1670-1720. However Phelps never tested the ring. And in April 2017, it was announced by Charles Ewen, who tested the ring, found that it was all brass and not gold. Ewen said it’s probably a common item that was traded to the Natives after lost colony disappeared (Lawler). This was yet another dead end in the quest to mystery of the lost

My immediate plan after graduating from college is to go to medical school to become a physician. I am not quite sure what kind of doctor I would like to become, but I would like to be both a doctor and a researcher. To clarify, I would like to see patients for part of the week, and during the other part of the week, I would like to do cancer research. In medical school, I will have the chance to learn how certain drugs have metabolic pathways that ultimately cure certain symptoms and disease while causing little to no harm to the rest of the body. The area of chemical engineering that is most interesting to be is biological engineering. I think that being able to create different systems that will deliver drugs to certain cells using man-made
