Minority Report The movie Minority Report was a book before the movie. The movie is where police utilize a psychic technology to arrest and convict murderers before they commit their crime. Tom Cruise is head of the precrime unit and was accused of killing someone he hasn't even meat. In 50 years it think technology is going to take over most of the stuff. I think the teachers will be using a lot more technology with teaching kids. I also think kids will start using technology at a young age than we all did because there already starting to do that. Cell phones will for sure be more advanced than they already our hopefully. The technology presented in minority report represents what the united states will likely experience in 50 years. There are types of technology in Minority Report that our not actually in our life now. One of the technology that is in the movie is fly cars that helped them for getting …show more content…
We will have more advanced technology so a lot of stuff will be easier and faster. So what i'm thinking is that means that would give people more free time or make people get more done. Because if you have a job that has good technology like that you will get a lot more done and do it better. The stuff you do on your free time will probably be more fun also if it involves technology. We are probably going to be able to get places faster also. The technology presented in minority report represents what the united states will likely experience in 50 years. Some of the little stuff already happened like the military uses something like the the robot insects. The multi touch interfaces similar to andertons have been out out by Microsoft. Retina scanners already exited by the time the film appeared in theaters. Xerox has been trying to develop something similar to e paper since before the film was released in theaters. I don't think there's going to be crazy type of technology but there will definitely be
There will not be fewer jobs, because every individual will have access to a robot as mentioned earlier, although success will not from simply owning a robot but working with the robot in order to innovate ,”Our human assignment will be to keep making
I watched the video “Technology Timeline; 1920s to present” and it summarized how much technology has changed. It went through the years 1920 to the present and listed many different things that happened within the decade. It showed things like: the first legal commercial, the first live television show, the first color television, the first computers, how logos evolved, etc. It also showed the different circumstances faced throughout the years. For example, when the first commercial was produced it was deemed illegal.
Furthermore, people believe technology does not have a flaw however, that is false. Technology does have a flaw as everything is bound to have at least one error because nothing is made perfect. Technological devices are made to make life easier, however they are not made to make life perfect, which is what technology’s use has become. In the film, Minority Report there are three Precogs-people that can predict the future- that detect murders that are going to occur in the future. However, further into the film, it uncovered that in some cases all the Precogs, do not see the same murder taking place. The main Precog-Agatha- often sees a different vision of a murder-that does not take place-which is named a minority report. Therefore, this is a flaw in the device, which impact the citizens of the area, as officers of Precrime may arrest innocent civilians, assuming they are going to commit a murder. To add on, at the end of the movie the ultimate flaw of Precrime is revealed that once people are aware of their future they can change it. This change the flow of life and eliminates the purpose of Precrime. This proves that human choice and will is stronger than technology, as it
technology. What dose this mean for us, we can live life to the fullest or to the point that some people
cannot live without. The question is, will the rising use of technology be a detriment or a
This Movie and short story of Minority Report is a great thriller, and gives a really cool look at what life in the future might be like. If only we had Per-Cogs to predict the future to stop crime today. To only know what the future has in store for
“Back to the Future” not only defined a generation, but also has kept critics talking for decades. “Back to the Future Part II” has even predicted several technical advances in society and foresaw numerous inventions. Both movies could easily stand strongly alone, but together they work to create a flushed story. Although reviews and articles differ exponentially concerning the second film, the plot is far larger than it’s processor. The intrinsic differences between the original movie, “Back to the Future”, and its sequel rely on mixed critical reviews, technology, and the overall success with the public.
As technology advances, it begins to take over jobs that humans once had. For example, we have factories to do many of the jobs that humans once did by hand. This is not necessarily bad, but I could see robotic waiters/waitresses and self driving cars in our future. This will take away a lot of connection between humans because it will cause them to interact less. It could also cause them to become lazy because they will no longer be needed for everyday jobs such as being a waiter/waitress or driving a car.
In 1982 Ridley Scott’s movie “Blade Runner” was quietly released and received mixed reviews7. As time passed the movie’s fan base expanded and today, many consider it to be one of the greatest science fiction movies of all time. Numerous people consider it Harrison Ford’s greatest acting role, which, considering the competition consisting of Han Solo and Indiana Jones, is no small feat. Originally, critics missed or were confused by the philosophical questions the movie posed but as more people saw it, the movie’s brilliance was gradually realized. The questions Blade Runner posed about the future of computer intelligence were far ahead of their time. A major issue of the movie is that, if AI ever became
In 2002, the latest year for which statistics are available, there were 170,241 African Americans enrolled in degree-granting graduate schools. This was an all-time high. Blacks were 8.4 percent of the total enrollments in U.S. graduate schools
Every Time new technology comes out everyone is elation about it because it's something new we react more different than our grandparents would react we have more knowledge and experience with technology if you think about it i know some of my grandparents ask me how to use something because they don't know and aren't used to the technology we grew up with and they didn't. Their generation is way different than ours in so many different ways we have improved so much new technology how the world started with technology and where we're at now says it all. If we think about it where will technology be in 10, 20 years we improve so much just in a year 20 years from now a lot of new learning ways also if you think about it we've had so many new iphones come out these past 2 years how many more do you think they will make? The more you think about it the more questions to be asked where will technology take us through time and where will we end
What’s the best way to lower the homicide rate? By stopping homicides before they happen? At least that’s what the precrime police thought. Neuroin, a new drug introduced into society causes major birth defects in children of moms that use it. Many did not survive, but three were saved. They had an unwanted gift though. They could successfully predict future homicides by visions they receive. These children, called precognitives or precogs, help the department of precrime to completely stop murders in Washington D.C. for 6 years. The system was thought to be perfect, until a prevision was seen predicting John Anderton, one of the heads of precrime, is predicted to kill someone he hasn’t even met yet. John takes off to try
Technology is progressing every day. We have come so far in the past ten years. Imagine life in 2054, and what life will be like. That is what Philip K. Dick did in 1956 when he wrote the short story Minority Report, which was later produced as a movie. In the movie Minority Report, a team of officers led by John Anderson (Tom Cruise), work together in the precime division. They collect information given by precogs to find murder suspects and victims before the crime actually happens. Precogs are three humans that were born with a brain disease. This brain disease affected others but these three are the only ones who survived. The disease caused some mutation and
However, even if we don’t look into the future, Star Wars can tell us volumes about how technology can affect our society, especially as it pertains to war.
In the negative side it could be like the new movie “I, robot” it says that robots will take over, and that mankind will lose its own say in its future. Yes it is science fiction, but all future possibilities are fiction
