The United States government should not bring up minimum up to $15 per hour. For example, in the article “ A New Dawn For the Minimum Wage” Don Lee states “when Oaklands minimum wage jumped from $9 an hour to $12.25 in March, residents noticed many stores tacked on a dime or a quarter to an assortment of items.” This is explaining that prices have gone up ever since minimum wage went up. Therefore, if minimum wage was to up everything will be more expensive and everything would be difficult to buy.

In present times in The United States the average person working a decent full time job is only earning $15,080 with the minimum wage of $7.25. That money is in your pocket if you work those 40 hours each week for a year which sounds like a decent amount of money, but now imagine all the expenses you do throughout the year as well. The money earned is not sufficient enough to care for families. If the minimum wage it is raised families will be able to live in decent homes, survive everyday obstacles.. The minimum wage needs to be raised to an amount where families are able to only work one job and not two or three.
For example, many people believe that it would act as an economic stimulus for the country. If the minimum wage were to increase, that would allow for people to have more money, and in turn they would spend more money at businesses, boosting the nations economy.20 However, it would also benefit the government by decreasing the amount of people enrolled in government programs such as Medicaid and food stamps.21 As stated in an article published in Congressional Digest, “The President’s plan strengthens the middle class by making America a magnet for jobs, equipping every American with the skills they need to do those jobs, and ensuring hard work leads to a decent living,”22 this, directly relating to a statement the President made in his State

In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo proposed a $ 15 fee for New York City from 2019 to 2021. Labor advocates agreed with the pact. However, I disagree with this concern, and I think that
California minimum wage in 2018 is $11.00 dollars per hour, but by 2022 economists claim it will be at $15.00 dollars per hour. This new bill to assist the low-wage workers struggling to live in the high-cost state. However, minimum wage is not supposed to be a standard living wage rather a starting wage. This has been a discussion for the ages. The debate over raising the minimum wage has been a hot topic. Raising minimum wage would reduce poverty, be better for lower paid workers, and to reduce expense for social programs.
Minimum wage is the lowest wage paid or permitted to be paid (1). Americans have been debating raising minimum wage for years. The people that want the raise in pay believe that it will help workers who are not as qualified and need a salary they can support themselves on. The people who do not want the raise realize the damaging effects it will have on this country. These jobs do not require a great amount of skill so having a low pay is understandable. Minimum wage jobs were not created for people to support themselves and a family with. Raising minimum wage would hurt Americans more than help them because in the end prices of goods will increase and people will lose their jobs.
In his January 2, 2014 online Atlantic article entitled “Should the Minimum Wage Depend on Your Age?, author Jordan Weissmann discusses the possibility of changing the minimum wage based on the age of the employee. He hooks in readers by bringing in what can also be considered background information by talking about a man named Charles Krauthammer who proposed that you have two minimum wages, one for the “Breadwinners” and a lower minimum for everyone else, and why hes idea is horrible. After hooking in his readers he goes on to try and prove his Thesis: that depending on the economic situation, basing wage on age could be more beneficial than some other ideas. To prove this thesis he claims that it's more beneficial because it is easier to
A dictionary defines the minimum wage as the lowest wage permitted by law or by special agreement. Many states across the nation have different minimums. The highest minimum wages paid in US states is District of Colombia, which is 12:50 hourly, but still, a lot of people are struggling to survive. The majority people live in the United State are get paid with minimum wages. In 1912 the first law for minimum wage was created in Massachusetts but, in doing so it created a controversy among people in the United States such as immigrant workers, teenagers, families, the lower class, and people of color. The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour meaning that people being paid minimum wage earn $15,080 yearly which in other words they’re receiving pay that’s just below federal poverty threshold of $15,130. However, some states have increased the minimum wage salary from an estimate of $7.25 to $9.50, and honestly it would be a great idea to increase minimum wage to $10.10 an hour in order to better provide for teenagers, families, people of color, lower class, immigrant workers and also provide better job opportunities

The minimum wage should be raised because and helps the socioeconomic goal of lift pay for 41 million dollars workers. Raising the minimum wage will have a good impact on individuals and businesses because it will injected of wages to help stimulate the economy and spur greater business activities and job growths. The evidence that supports my thesis is that the low-paid workers spend much of their extra earnings so it will injected the wages and because it will also help the colors workers. This evidence supports my thesis because it will higher $144 billion in higher wages for workers and benefit their communities.
Is minimum wage fair? Should we get pay more than the usual minimum wage? I do think we should get pay more than ($8.44) per hour. Many young workers have been arguing for a better raise or more money because the minimum wage is just so low. Many jobs that pay low are usually stressful. Workers that has low pay have to work another job because the minimum wage is just not enough. Employees that has the same minimum wage but one works harder and the other does not have to do as much as one. This could cause a problem among the workplace and their bosses. The minimum wage should change in general. There should not be just a minimum wage, it all needs to depend on the employee. Raising the price or not calling it minimum wage.
