Many times, it comes down to extra training and education one can bring to the job. My Marine Corps training has taught me many different skills such as: leadership, first aid and combat skills that I can use in any situation. The main thing any police department would look at is my urban combat training. This training gives me the ability to make decisions fast and in the heat of the moment while the world around me is in complete chaos. Having been trained to keep a cool, level head about me as I encounter dangerous situations, will help me if I need to take down a perpetrator who decides he wants to fight it out or do something else to resist arrest. My choice of career has also been influenced by my self-study of police literature that I read in my downtime in my barracks room and the extra education classes I have taken from teachers and professionals in the police field at the educational center on Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay. I read books about police training, as well as books written by retired police officers about different situations that happened and could happen while they were on the job. The classes taken at the education center on base were about police/security jobs. The started from local correctional officer positions all the way to the FBI and the situations that came with them. From those classes, I can draw a baseline of what any police

Military men and women wear Camo uniforms to work in the field, but wear blue uniforms for important matters. But this doesn’t necessarily mean they are raising wages. Further on in the interview information regarding a new law enforcement officer’s wages was given. This pay has adjustments for inflation over the years and is an entry level position, but a dangerous one at that. Finding equal and/or competitive pay is a constant struggle inside law enforcement agencies recruiting

Militarized police are people that perform police duties but have access to use military equipment as well as incorporated the rule and regulations they follow in the military. According to goarmy.com military and police have the same kind of duties like patrol, interview witnesses, victims and suspects in investigations, Crime scene security and processing, and arrest and charge criminal suspects. Their train on the other hand is very different. Military police go through basic warrior skills and use of firearms military/civil laws, jurisdiction Investigating, collecting evidence traffic, crowd control arrest and restraint of suspects. The only things that I see are different and could be helpful in some situations is the training they receive
The United States Army is one of the main factors that allows America to be a free and democratic country. The Army defends, protects, and honors the United States of America. Ever since I was a young boy, I saw greatness in the United States Army and hoped to one day be a part of it. I always envisioned myself in a leadership position and when I decided to join the Army, I knew being an officer was for me. To me, being an officer in the U.S. Army is a career unlike any other. There are many opportunities as an officer in the Army to advance, further education, and grow as a person. The army allows you to switch your MOS and attend more training to further education or to change careers completely which is something
According to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service website your pay is based upon your rank and grade as well as your years of service. So if someone held the rank of Staff Sergeant (grade of E-6) and they were in the Army for six years they would get about $2,500 every two weeks (Military Pay Charts). But the army also offers allowances for housing, fuel, clothing, food, and other necessities that is separate from your pay, meaning a lot of expenses most people have the military will cover for you. Meaning more of that pay can go to whatever you want it to go to, whether it be recreation, savings, or investing. The military also offers special incentives and compensation for certain things. For example all combat MOS’ receive what is called combat arms compensation pay which gives soldiers with combat MOS’ a pay to compensate for the danger they will be put in. There is also a family separation compensation which pays soldiers for being away from their family for extended periods of time. Incentive pay is just as it sounds, do more than is asked or go above and beyond and you will be rewarded (Special & Incentive

I would like to join the police force because I like the feeling of keeping the server safe and civs safe. Also whenever I arrest someone or help a guy out as an officer it makes wanna keep on pushing myself to become a better officer and help more people. As a cop I would respond to all calls that are needed, I would help out any police officer who needs repaired or needs backup. I will always stop and help a civ out by giving them a medkit or even by giving them a repair kit. You always have to respect the civs. I also have a really good shot with my gun an I figured I should use that shot for the good not the bad. Any people who try to threat my life a civ life or a fellow police mans life I will deal with them. Being a cop is all ive really
The military style police training will have a huge impact on police recruitment because some civilians will shy away from this style of training. This “police corps” military style training can be rough because the instructor will use mass punishment to reinforce rules such as push-ups, they will have to salute, and they will have strict room and locker inspections. There is a lot of other stressful training that will take place, sleep deprivation, high-speed driving day and night, firearms training day and night, self-defense, and classes that will keep the recruit thinking about police situations. This will change the recruit’s perspective of how the police operate on the street. This stressful training will affect the recruit mentally and

For the last couple years, I have been pretty set on entering the field of law enforcement as my future career. Honestly, a big influence that revitalized my interest in the field was the recent hatred towards law enforcement that resulted from the killing of Michael Brown and several other black citizens. Those events helped me realize that some police are bad, yes, but the majority of law enforcement personnel are great people who are risking their lives to protect the people. Therefore, I want to join so that I can help in reviving the image of police as good, kind helpers of the people. Some of the careers that I am most interested in joining are: 1.) Police Officer, 2.) Police Detective, and 3.) State Trooper (C.H.P.).
