Freak The Mighty by Rodman Philbrick. There are many differences between the book and the movie like when the retrieved the purse. Also, Kevin tutors Max in the movie, also the kidnapping scene in the movie and the book. There are many differences between the book and the movie.
When you look at my older sister you might think that she kind and helpful girl because the way she acts in public and helps my mom out. Also you might think that she is a kind sibling. But in reality that not who she is while she is home. When she is home she always on her phone and doesn’t really help with things and can be mean to my little brother. Even though this is a example of something that is good it's actually bad. In some situations bad can be good because the bad can help you get past things in your life or solve some things in your life. In the book freak the mighty by Rodman Philbrick give a great example of that.

Kisha did not want to talk about him but still loved him. The week following of the breakup of KIsha and Andy, Monty (Andy’s brother) came home from school and saw something horrible. Friends are more valuable than you may think. You might think Freak The Mighty and Bridge To Terabithia are different. Me, I think they are similar. In Freak The Mighty, Max meets Kevin, and right away they become the best of pals, and in Bridge To Terabithia, Jesse meets Leslie, and they become inseparable. I think they share a theme: One good friend could change your life forever.
The two novels Freak The Mighty and Wonder are two very different stories. Freak The Mighty is a story about two polar opposites that become great friends and Wonder is about a kid named Jack that looks past Auggie's appearance and found a great friend. Even though these are two completely different stories they both teach us to look deeper into someone because you might find a really good friend.
“I never had a brain until Freak came along and let me borrow his for a while...,” are the perspective words of Max, one of the main characters in Freak the Mighty. Throughout the novel, Freak the Mighty, author Rodman Philbrick creates a developing friendship for the two main characters, Max and Kevin, of whether or not the two of them can work together in life. In the novel, Freak and Max become like brothers in how they act and how much time they spend together. Kenny Kane, Max’s father, shows how not to act in a family by his actions toward others. Gwen, Freak’s mother, Freak, Max, and, Grim and Gram, Max’s grandparents, show how to act in a family by how much time they spend together and how much they care for eachother. In an attempt to be kind to one another, all of the main characters realize that family is determined more by behavior than by blood.
Throughout the novel Freak the Mighty author Rodman Philbrick creates a compelling story featuring the main characters, Maxwell “Max” Kane and Kevin Dillon, better known as Freak, who go through a journey testing their friendship and loyalty to each other against the forces of evil in life. Max has not had it easy, with his mother being murdered by his father Kenny “Killer” Kane, and he has “never had a brain” (Philbrick 1). These actions and thoughts have left him with no friends and immense grief. Freak has also had a fairly lonely life, being two feet tall with extraordinary intelligence leaving him an outcast. Even into adulthood, people like to isolate others due to appearance or behavior. Loretta Lee, a woman the boys meet on a quest and also an old friend of Kenny Kane, is a perfect example, as she is judged by her looks and the way she can act. Despite their looks or behavior, all of these characters have the best intentions and enormous hearts, and are living a quality life, proving that just because someone is different, does not mean they are not of the same worth as everyone else.
The novel, Freak the Mighty, and the movie, The Mighty, have many things in common, but also have several differences. The first similarity is that in both the text and movie, Max first puts Freak on his shoulders at the fireworks. He does this because Freak complains that he can’t see anything, so Max picks him up without thinking and places his on his shoulders. As a result, Max carries Freak around on his shoulders everywhere.
Freak the MIghty is a book by Rodman Philbrick. It is a book about friendship between two guys. Freak the Mighty and The Mighty have many differences and alikes like when they became Freak the MIghty, when they stopped a girl from getting robbed, and where Kevin dies.
There are many differences between the book, Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick, and the movie, The Mighty, starring Kieran Culkin, Kevin, and Elden Henson, Max. There are many more than the ones I’m about to list but these are just the major ones. Such as the way Max and Kevin meet, when they rescue the purse from the sewer, and Kevin's death.
Freak The Mighty by Rodman Philbrick; and it is about two boys Max, and Freak. There are many differences between the movie and the book. Such as how they met, how they become Freak The Mighty, the use of the ornithopter, and Freaks death. In the book Freak
This book Freak The Mighty reminds me of another book Bridge to Terabithia Because it has a don't judge a book by its cover thing to one character. That Character is Leslie she is a new kid how meets Jessie in a race she was the only girl in that race and beat all of the boys so he thought she was a person who brags all day however he meets her and she is very creative and they go on many adventures.
In Rodman Philbrick's compelling story Freak the Mighty, Max was kidnapped by his own dad who now has begun his plan to brainwash his own child into believing that everything this whole time has been a lie and he's innocent. After taking a rest Kenny starts his plan by telling Max that he killed nobody and he was just assumed for that because, of his size. This displays that, Kenny is manipulating his own son into believing that he is innocent. He even uses the Bible card by swearing he isn't a serial killer. At first Max was more agitated and nervous, but, when Kenny got the bible out, Max started to feel numb and think. After a long talk and some more sleep Killer Kane goes to Max and continues his goal of brainwashing his own child by, coming
Parents stood tall in a half circle with their kids before them. Like black and white clothes everyone at the funeral was wearing a grim and grieving face. When it was the five-foot-eight 9th grader’s turn to speak, Derik spoke nervously,”What happened that night was not intended and just about the worst timing we could've had. Larry didn’t deserve the fate he was given. He deserved to live a long and happy life.” The audience of friends and family nodded their heads. The small crowd grouped in line to pay their respects to the young boy before his beautiful wood and gold trim coffin was lowered into the cold winter soil. One by one the group packed up and left. The only person that had been with Larry, when his life was taken away, knelt
Max is waiting for a visit from Grampa and Grandma Winky since it has been a long time since he last saw them. His family had moved to Arizona taking him away from his beloved grandparents a few years ago, an event that had been hard on the young Max. However, his grandfather calls to say his grandmother is very ill and soon after that she is dead. The news hits the family very hard though his mother helps him to the very best of her ability to explain to him that the memories of his grandmother will always stay with him. Grandpa also does the utmost to tell him that his grandmother would love to see him happy and continue with his life rather than be sad. Max and Grandpa and Grandpa Winky is another excellent novel that helps parents with information on how to help children dealing with catastrophic loss of loved
