What's the film’s message
I thought the overall message that The Princess Bride portrayed was that true love always finds a way.I say this because know matter what obstacle occurred, Westly and Buttercup eventually found each other again. Some evidence that proves this is when Buttercup told the king that Westly would come for her.Another message that this movie portrayed was to never judge a book by its cover. This message is very implied because all the events that take place are very sporadic and what you think might happen does not occur, it might even be the complete opposite such as what happens after Wesley's death in the beginning.
Plot
The first main event was when Westly and Buttercup fall in love on the farm and have a dialogue that carries on for a dramatic ending of “As you wish”.Buttercup is a master's daughter and Westly is a poor farm boy. After they confess their love for one another westley has to go to America in search of riches. He is crossing a dangerous sea and is expected to die.
Then word gets back to Buttercup that her love was killed by the Dread pirate Roberts. This leaves Buttercup depressed and lonely to ever love again. Then Prince Humperdinck has to choose a wife and of course, Buttercup, but Buttercup could never love him since she lost her one true love.
Then Buttercup gets stolen by three men named

Most of the actors in the movie had good makeup. But others did not look as good. For example, the prosthetics on Fezzik were unrealistic and the cuts on the side of Inigo's face were extremely unrealistic. Although the scars on Inigo's face, it helps with his back story on sword fighting. On the other hand, the costumes match the time period perfectly. Each character had a specific outfit to match their professions and positions. An example of this is the gowns that Buttercup wears when she is soon to be a princess versus the clothing she wore when she was on the
The costumes were also quite beautiful and wonderfully tailored to each character. The many different
The entire scenery throughout this movie is very appropriate and what one would expect to see during Shakespearean time. Similarly, the costumes are also in sync with the scenery, at times appear very heavy and dull looking; everything about the presence of this movie emerges to be traditional at first glance.
On August 31st 1997, two families bridged together through matrimony were suddenly broken by the death of Princess Diana. These two bloodlines, one of royalty and one of aristocracy, were forced to face the commonwealth with sadness; Speeches by The Queen and Diana’s brother, The Earl, were necessary. As multiple populations were grieving and reminiscing over the loss of such a popular public patron, many were growing irritable and suspicious of the tragic car accident and the lack of communication from The Queen. With pressures rising, the funeral approaching, and individuals still looking for someone to blame, Queen Elizabeth and Earl Spencer each delivered their own speech regarding the recent events. Despite the common topics and audience, it is evident how both speeches varied, especially concerning exigence, the use of rhetorical devices, and overall effectiveness
When you think of a princess you may picture a girl with a lavish dress on and a crown full of jewels on top of her head, but not in William Goldman’s The Princess Bride. The readers encounter just a regular girl from a family that was never royalty, and who is always thinking of her one true love who was once thought dead.
The movie follows a kindly grandfather sitting down with his sick grandson and reading him a story. The story is one that has been passed down from father to son for generations. As the grandfather reads the story, the action comes alive. The story is a classic tale of love and adventure as the beautiful Buttercup, engaged to the foul Prince Humperdinck, is kidnapped and held against her will in order to start a war. It is up to Westley (her once believed dead love, now returned as the Dread Pirate Roberts) to save her. On the way he meets a thief and his hired helpers, an accomplished swordsman and a huge, powerful giant, both of whom become Westley's companions in his quest.
Firstly, “The Princess Bride” is mainly about a girl who is in love with a farm boy. The boy Westley has to go to war so he could come back and have money to marry his true love. But, rumors spread that Westley was dead so Buttercup was forced to marry the king. Who knew Westley came out of nowhere and we were all surprised that he changed his name to Dread Pirate Roberts and that’s what kept him alive all these years. The king finds Buttercup and brings her back to the palace and forces her to marry him. He plans to kill her but instead she wants to commit suicide because what she thought was gonna happen didn’t. In the end they live happily ever after, far away from the kingdom.
The are several different types of costuming that were shown in Tim Burton’s style. His style showed uniqueness, which described who they are, and how they are compared. Tim Burton represents how the costuming and accessories are described in several ways the person’s values in life. His values in people’s life were lost since he did not look like the rest. For example, when Edward leaves the Mansion, and goes to a new home, the neighbourhood was all amazed like if they never seen “an evil monster”Edward had scissors for hands since he was made in the mansion. Due to him not being human he was 6 foot something, which was not normal. By bringing a character spontaneous the details show how no one ever looks at someone by who they are. The
The clothing that the characters wear is also dissimilar. Although the garments are still from the same time period, the specific colors and designs are still pretty different. This is especially true in the designs of both Petruchio’s wedding outfit and the dress that the tailor made for Katherine for her to wear at Bianca’s wedding. The props as well are different
Another example of costume and makeup is about 3 quarters through the scene when we are first introduced to sohrab. He enters the scene with a feministic looking robe with bells. This along with Asseffs costume makes the audience think that he has forcefully had feministic traits beaten into him as this well dressed powerful obviously violent looking man has summoned this boy wearing a womans dress that he obviously wouldn't usually wear which shows that it has been beaten into him. This is done by forstor as it leads into the trust issues that sohrab has towards Amir later on in the
to the period costumes and props, though I think the overall multilevel set design could have been
The costumes used in Luhrmann’s film are very modern as using the original Elizabethan style costumes would make the film more historical and therefore would not appeal to a younger audience. Luhrmann has used two distinctive costume styles to help the audience distinguish the difference between the two families. For the Montague family, Luhrmann has put the characters in unbuttoned, bright coloured Hawaiian shirts and given the males short blonde hair to link to these characters beachside lifestyles. For the Capulet family, Luhrmann has used stylish but sinister looking costumes such as vests, and silver heeled boots to show the audience how these men are similar to Mexican drug
Staying true to the traditional tale, the evil queen is in search of eternal youth and beauty and becomes enraged when the magic mirror informs her that Snow White can replace her as “fairest of them all”. The evil queen orders the Huntsman to find Snow White who has escaped her imprisonment from the confines of the castle and dark kingdom. Enthralled by Snow Whites charm and beauty, the Huntsman instead takes on the role of her protector and warrior mentor. Much of the movie is the Huntsman and Snow White’s journey to escape the evil queen and find an army to battle the evil queen to reinstate Snow White to her rightful place on the throne. Don’t worry the beloved dwarfs are a part of this version, though a little rough around the edges, much to the dismay of you Disney fans. Deviating from the original tale, the love interest has been changed. Although, the movie does include a Prince Charming, it is the ruggedly handsome Huntsman who is meant to wake Snow White with his kiss.
As little girls, women may imagine themselves as the princesses that they hear and see in movies and books. These princess often defeat the villain, meet the love of their life, the prince, and live “happily ever after”. Sadly, life is far from the things we see in these movies and books. The Princess bride, by William Goldman is a fantasy novel about a beauiful girl, named Buttercup, who is forced to marry the Prince Humperdinck after the love of her life, Westley dies. She is later kidnapped by three men, and two of those men, named Inigo and Fezzik, come together with the undead Westley to avenge an important death
Diana has been named the Princess of Humanity for being so involved with her charity work.
