Residential Services: On Sunday, July 19th 2015, it was reported to SC that Jamar and his roommate attempted to run from the facility. In doing so, Jamar broke a window and caused physical injury to his knee while trying to jump a fence. Ms. Knox contacted SC via email stating the facility was interested in having Jamar removed from the facility and Jamar would be charged with Malicious Damage to Property under $2,000.
I would involve all who concern by starting with the children while understanding the sensitive nature of this group, i.e. their culture, traditions, and values. Increase access to health risk assessments to control high blood pressure and obesity. I would promote, design and plan a program to make eating healthy for the residents who do not have access to affordable options. One reason I learned that I want to became a social worker after our first semester is that it is a diverse career. My background and passion in life has always been working with the elderly population however, I accepted a position at DHHS working with foster care and child protective services. Knowing that this would make me more diverse and knowledge in different ways to future employers and for me. b. After working in the medical field 15 years, I’ve decided that there are changes I’d like to be instrumental in making. I started working as a CNA at the NHC in Chattanooga with the goal of becoming an RN but soon discovered that direct patient care was an aspect I have no desire to have. Finding that there were a few things I saw that should be changed. An example is that the patient to care giver ratio was unfair when the body of mass of some of the patients was not considered. There was no standard as to how a hall or patient’s room should or should not smell.
