Medicinal marijuana has been proven to lessen severe seizures in children, to lower brain damage after a stroke and to reduce the growth and creation of new tumors in the human body (Mohrmann). This can make our medical procedures safer, it can lower the risk of hurting someone (emotionally, mentally, and even physically). Most of these consequences are good, but some can be bad, for example the inhalation of the drug through smoking can cause damage to the lungs, but guess what? Recently passed laws saying that marijuana plants can produce other means of the drug where it can be consumed and not inhaled. Sure! With these new laws passed in big states people will get the thought that all marijuana is legal, well it isn?t. Recently New York made their laws harsher to prevent the abuse of marijuana (Hinckley). That?s exactly what we need, exactly what I am talking about. Now, if we stand together to get more of these bills passed we can make our ill healthier, we can help our children, we can overall make our lives safer. So we?ve looked at the problems surrounding the topic and I?ve offered you some solutions and how it will look when change is put into
Cannabis. Green. Kush. Ganja. Pot. Marijuana. It doesn't matter what people call it or what they think of it. It is considered illegal to cultivate, buy, sell, posses and use in Australia but people still manage to get their hands on it. However, laws can vary from state to state. From fines as low as fifty dollars [South Australia] to a diversion program/Cannabis intervention, aimed at informing and aiding offenders. Assuming that they're a non-violent offender. Cannabis is decriminalised in Australia, which means that punishments are less harsh, but it is still considered illegal, and like I said before, laws can vary from state to state.
The cannabis plant (marijuana) has been used medicinally by a variety of cultures around the world. It was used as medicine in the United States until when a new tax fee led to its discontinued use. Congress has voted on several bills to legalize the medical use of marijuana; however none of those bills were passed. In June 2005 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that federal laws against marijuana, including its medical use, are valid. The government has authorized few research studies into the health effects of medical marijuana. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved

I. Attention Statement: Legalizing marijuana in Texas has been a long-standing debate since 2005. Recently, just last June, a major breakthrough has been made on this highly contentious issue. The legislature passed the bill into law on the legal use of marijuana for medicinal purposes. However, progress has yet to be made on legalizing marijuana for recreational purposes, which accounts for most of the criminal activities in our state.
Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain or you have pain following surgery, you’ve probably looked into what treatments are available for you. You’ve done quite a bit of research. You’re wondering if cannabis for pain management is your solution.
Jesus Christ definitely smoked weed. I mean have you seen the sandals, the breezy robe, and stoner beard? Give the guy some hot cheeto’s and some dark sunglasses, and the guy would be all set to go. Of course this theory requires a certain amount of disbelief, but I guess religion itself requires a lot of faith. It’s honestly more believable then the guy walking on water, so why can’t he just enjoy a joint at the same time? Even though weed is illegal I would like to think he was a toker back in the day because weed honestly saved my life. It’s funny because doctors act like weed is not true medication and is not a valid form of form of therapy, but they will preside you enough pills to make you forget what country you are on.
A. We need to petition to pass legislature that legalizes marijuana for patients that need it.
Humans have been using medicine to salve our wounds, physical and mental, since near the beginning of our species. It is something we used throughout the ages though we haven’t always used the same means achieve it. We’ve used “magic” elixirs, prayer, mercury, lobotomies, and other things that just weren’t effective methods of healing anyone. Today, we have vaccines, pills, antibiotics, and other medicine that has kept us going thus far in life. The medicine I want to inform you about today is Marijuana. Marijuana holds many medical uses.
Medical marijuana has been a very controversial issue nationwide. Many speculate that marijuana is a harmful drug. When in reality marijuana is a medicine, which has been proven be doctors and researchers, especially in small countries. Marijuana help those who use it with chronic pains and illnesses. Medical marijuana is helpful to individuals with severe chronic pain and comes from a natural growing plant. Marijuana should be a medical option because the benefits of marijuana greatly overwhelm those that oppose to the drug.
Medical marijuana is a controversial topic that has held my interest for many reasons. Using marijuana for medical purposes has been becoming popular in the treatment for several medical issues. Numerous states have begun to legalize its use for medical purposes. There are also various controversies surrounding medical marijuana and its use in the United States. State laws Vs. Federal laws, Child Protective Services, and Federal legalization, and a change in scheduling are all issues related to medical marijuana in America.
Every time you hear the words smoking marijuana what is the first thing that comes to your head? Maybe your first thought is that’s gross or what productive person does that? A lot of people have the notion that marijuana is just for the main purpose to make people “high” (a feeling of high attitudes and euphoria) that is why it is still considered an illegal drug in some states. Medical marijuana is very a big and controversial issue in today's society, currently the community is divided on the issue. Questions are always being thrown around such as "how does marijuana affect the body?" and "what good does’ marijuana do for a person?" Researchers have tried to answer these questions with multiple studies and they have shown some of the positives of medical marijuana. If something is able to help someone who is in dire need why not use it on those people to find a better solution for them. I myself am on the supportive side of the issue of medical marijuana. I don't think it should be legal to just anyone though I believe there should be a legal age law, a driving while under the influence, and a public intoxication law in effect for medical marijuana to be legal.
I have personally experience in using marijuana before. I was absolutely freaked out the first time I tried but some of my friends were just acting normal.
Close your eyes and imagine for a moment. You now have a child who suffers from extreme, almost constant, terrifying seizures. Unfortunately, none of the medicine prescribed in the past has worked. In fact, some medication even makes the seizures worse. Suddenly, doctors discover a medicine that has the potential to reduce seizures and sometimes stop them all together, therefore improving your child’s quality of life. They have turned that medicine into safe drops, vapor, and pills. Would you want to at least give the medicine a try? Would you want to give your child some relief? If you answered yes, then you have just proven that it is not the medicine that people feel uneasy about, it is the stigma of the name of plant the medicine comes from, marijuana.
