Organizational Configuration After looking at organization configurations, I came to the conclusion that McKesson is a combination of all of them which is an integrated network. As stated in Chapter 4, “To do this requires an organizational model where the assets, resources, and capabilities are arranged in ways that are very different from the global organization’s centralized hub configuration or the multinational organization’s decentralized federation of independent operations” (Bartlett & Beamish, 2014, p. 301). This is one of the key reasons that makes McKesson a successful corporation. The company has also made strategic alliances with a clinical …show more content…
This is due to McKesson’s acquisitions and concentrating more on partnerships to expand outside the United States. The reason McKesson started operating outside the United States was because of its advancements of healthcare and technological advancements. It goes back to the partnerships it has in the United Kingdom and Canada. As of recently, it now is operating with Asian-Pacific business to Medibank Private Ltc., which supplies Asian Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand (citation?). By adapting into a partnership, but at the same time being the primary supplier to these other overseas companies, McKesson continues to thrive in the supply and technology industry. This has made them the leading company in the United States and abroad, it has become the second best if not leading in the industry (citation?). Therefore, I feel that they do not fall into either traditional or emerging change process. McKesson has been very smart in the process of expanding outside the United

I feel like the U.S. should not have joined World War 1. I think the reasons we joined the war were not big enough reasons to send our soldiers to war over. I believe our reasons for joining the war are good reasons, but still not good enough to send people into battle to lose their lives for.
The HITECH Act was established in part with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Office of Civil Rights). This act was implemented in 2009 to promote meaningful use of health information technology, such as electronic heath records and their appropriate applications (Office of Civil Rights). McKesson electronic records and their products have adopted this act in the way that they promote and utilize their products (McKesson 2016). Maybe it is difficult for the company to find a customer base outside the US, or maybe it would be too difficult to find employees outside of the US who support and adhere to their mission statement. Whatever their reason, I believe it would be beneficial to make an attempt at expanding outside the United States.

Ans. Until then they were happy enough simply to expand their business in US, after that reached a certain size and the company had the management time to spend on it then it was time to think about replicating that success abroad. Because the markets abroad are much more competitive than in America where it is a slayer of small businesses, except for fresh produce sellers. Globalization has taken off in recent years, before the turn of the century it was much more difficult and expensive for franchises to efficiently expand outside of their native country.
Companies strive to choose not only the best marketing channels, but also the best profitable channel. A profitable channel can promote and successfully sell out of a product that might not otherwise turn a profit for their producers (New Charter University 2015). “The calculations from the cost accountant for the retail segment accounts were 60 percent of sales, and for the foodservice segment accounts were 40 percent. The cost accountant believes that both channels are profitable. The accountant also believes that the company achieves an overall average gross margin of 60 percent on its sales (Bowersox, D.
