In Matt Sesow art, ”Two Figures With Rabbit,” he has emerged in an old classic technique in his art. Sesow gives a deeper meaning to the painting, the way it is put together as well as the colors that he used, made the art outstanding. In addition to this, the elements and concepts of art and design is mandatory . Sesow presents the meaningful features into structural. The subject matter of the picture is acrylic portrait also the tones, colors and pictures are built up in thin layered glazes.
Another thing, he made the picture on a stretched canvas. It is well prepared with the several coats of the acrylic and each object is related to the other object. The image is taken from the Ellin and Gordon art gallery. He used the sharp color to

Sesow use the unity that provides the artwork complete and gives the finished look. The artist use the contrast colors of the eyes like blue and red. The colors of eyes complement to other eyes. The objects of the picture arranged in a symmetrical and organized way. Some lines are thin and some lines are thick. The shallow depth is highlighted with the white color. The variety of lines is endless. The horizontal lines creates unity. Many lines next to each other. Cross hatching occur when parallel lines. Lines can be used in expressive and suggestive way. Contour lines indicates the actions
Finally, Sesow used the different shapes and it is either positive or negative. Sesow’s work presents the negative impact of suffering and terrifying, he as well used the abstract linesof the negative shapes as a surrounding. The color refer to the light and the use of red color gives natural color. All movement of the object is need to be focused in particular angle. The white is an intense color and It is product of the light and it covers the body of the two in the picture. The size of the object is unusual and not in organized which makes Sesow’s work
TXT- His unique style of using separate colored panels to create his subjects are similar to a Cubist painting, but he integrates several elements to construct this piece various colors and include text. Pg
The painting has contrasting colors like red, white, yellow and green. While it also has some dark colors to create a sense of power. These vivid colors create a complementary contrast. The dark red background with the gold designs makes the black man wearing the different shades of green stand out. Also, the white horse has various colors of brown and black which makes it stand out from the red. The main idea is to see the black man on the horse and you can tell Wiley thought the color scheme through. The contour lines Wiley used were organized, thin, and nicely controlled when it came to drawing the horse’s hair and body figure. Also, gold lines were detailed in the background creating a type of pattern to create an illusion. Closely, if you look into the background Wiley drew little sperms to complete the background. Lastly, the actual texture of the painting has a smooth finish. The oil on canvas painting almost makes it seem like if you touch it the horse would be silky
The painting is organized simply. The background of the painting is painted in an Impressionist style. The blurring of edges, however, starkly
In this painting, two visual elements stand out over all the rest. These elements are that of color and texture. Color in art is an element that has to be phenomenal in order to get recognition and true appreciation from the viewers. In this painting, the colors are rich, vivacious and standout as dark, but bold representations of the uniqueness of it all. The use of brown and yellow and green and grey and white all come together in a harmony of color and unity. As for the texture in the painting, it is that of brisk and roughness that is nature. The sharp edges of the bucks rack and the cold, rough edges of the dead tree show
Closely inspecting the canvas, I initially noticed that the painting was created using a series of thick, short brushstrokes compiled on top of one another almost creating a 3-D effect. Upon first glance you are
It is easy to see how the image can convey many different concepts based on perception of individuals. When looking at the image it is typical for the eye to be drawn to the bottom right corner because of the dark sketch lines. While reading through the limited amount of text provided it guides the reader into the concept is wants to convey. However, by the use of images one can get many different thoughts and ideas without the restriction of words. The language used on this page discusses the “QUEST FOR REASON”, “THE FEAR OF THE UNKOWN”, and “DEPTHS OF LIGHT”, and these ideas can all be seen solely through the image.
The image that I will be talking about today is the piece called Stacking Hay by an American artist named Jackson Pollock. This picture was made in the about 1935. The medium of the piece is made from lithograph, with the work on paper. The style of this medium is abstract expressionism. With Pollock art, he uses a lot of representation throughout his artwork.
Water color airbrush, pastels and india ink are the mediums used in this story. The usage of the mediums are simplistic enough but still show detail and layering of objects. Not much is present in the background but it does add to the atmosphere of the illustrations. The illustrations emphasis the shape of each animal’s eyes, each type of animal has their own unique shape and it matches what their character is. Shading is also apparent through darker cutouts and the shading is done in a way that does not distract. The outlining of each character and their features in white build towards the style
The medium used for this work of art is oil. In this technique the oil acts as a binder and causes a quick drying layer that can built upon. The formal elements of a painting include line, color, space, light, texture and pattern. The line appears to be an implied line in which the work creates directional movements from top to bottom. But also forces the viewer to see how the figures stand out and there importance in the painting. The color shows a subtle spectrum with a detailed background from the skies to the mountains to the artist table canvas. The light is somewhat even throughout the painting showing emphasis on every figure holding something in their hands; and more so the final product of the artist that are being captured on the canvas. The visual texture of the painting appears to be smooth and the pattern is decorative and somewhat vibrant. The principle of unity and variety are evident in this painting, the design itself shows a sense of community of important figures throughout African American history. I was drawn to this piece because it embodied the heritage of African American art through history. This painting by Hale Woodruff displays many of the significant contributions that African Americans made to the world of Art. Not necessarily “picture art” but all realms of life art: cooking, liberal arts, politics, labor, law and many more through his vibrant
painting which also ties into the scene being set at night in the darkness. Contrast is used well to
The shapes of the figures are sharply defined and the objects such as the table, book, and string instruments. There are diagonal rhythms throughout the painting in which it creates movement. The light source in the upper left allows the source light to have a more natural appearance throughout the painting. The shadows at the right-hand corner and the men wearing green in the middle contrast the main object with the most sources of lighting. The objects shadows and lighting create dimension and a vivid sense of more contrast. There are areas in the making with more contrast and the sharp contrast that creates movement in the painting. The shadows and the lighting throughout the painting show gradations and the highlights create more depth. Staring from the upper-left hand corner with the first figure of a gentleman wearing a hue of blue and yellow, the left side of his face and garment shows the source light in right above him. The source light above the
There is also a mirror placed on the table allowing the viewers to link with space beyond the frame. Also in the far back right of the painting you can see a young man talking to an elderly. The artist created an very old or old-fashioned look by using opposing colors, red and green. “The second half of the fifteenth century in northern Europe saw an expansion of genre
Filled with shades of red, the upper part of the painting comes to create a strong opposition with the black area below it, itself encircled by a darker red. This painting consisting of three floating rectangles in various colour combinations, creates a sombre mood conducive to spiritual contemplation. With the use of Rothko's saturated colours the viewers are moved
Secondly, the light and colors help to enhance the piece. Due to the oil painting,
This painting is divided into three equal parts by the arches in the background and the characters correspond to each of these arches (TV12). The father is in the middle portion of the painting. The lines of perspective created by the tiled floor, draws our attention to the swords that the father is holding and the vanishing point lies just behind the handles of the sword. Our angle of vision is such that we are looking directly at the main figures groups, particularly the father. A single light source from the left of the picture illuminates the characters and also focuses our attention to the father holding the sword. This creates a ‘theatrical’ effect. The background is simple and stark so our attention is focussed on the figure groups in the painting. The painting has a wide tonal range that makes the composition logical and balanced. The colours used in this
