Marketization of Education: An Ethical Dilemma
The article “Marketization of Education: An Ethical Dilemma” has the argument of the students are going to school for “Securing a degree or experiencing education.” The author has explained in the article the differences between both goals that students aim to. Securing a degree is that students go to school within one goal, which is to earn credentials that are needed for a future career. The author also explained experiencing education is that students go to extend their knowledge on different courses to try to be familiar with all requirements they are going to take in higher education .He showed how students started to be more into securing a degree rather than experiencing it, to achieve limited goals, like getting a job that pays higher salary. In the article “Marketization of Education: An Ethical Dilemma” written by Samuel M. Natale and Caroline Doran showed that students start to become customers for colleges and how that have changed most students’ to chose between securing a degree or experiencing an education.

He showed the need of more students of experiencing a real education and expands their knowledge through higher education, where more students are seeking to secure a degree. Where he also gave few causes that have part on affecting the students goals. An example he explained that colleges nowadays start to prepare students for their path in life instead of familiarizes them with their education
