Everyone has a role model, whether they think about it or not. We all admire a friend, family member, celebrity, or teacher and look up to them. A seventh grade project fueled my fascination with Marilyn Monroe. With her platium blonde hair and cherry red lips she is not only beautiful, but she is smart, hardworking, confident, and independent.
Dropping out of Emerson Junior High School may seem to be a bus ride to failure during this time period, Marilyn did it for the better. Sickly and ageing, her mother could not take care of her, so young Marilyn got married at the age of sixteen. Actors needed little to no degrees, so by dropping out she saved time and money. Also as an act of kindness she took a large burden, herself, off her mother.
What comes to mind when you picture Hillary Clinton and Marilyn Monroe side by side? How are they possibly comparable? One is the First lady of our great nation and the other a blonde bombshell. Both Clinton and Monroe are very influential and inspiring women but besides that, both are campaigners towards women’s rights. As a matter of fact, these women proudly hold the title of Feminists. Hillary Diane Rodham, was born on October 26th, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. Clinton is a Methodist. She was born with luminous blue eyes and blonde hair, which is now up to her shoulders. Additionally, Clinton once said, “People can judge me for what I 've done. And I think when somebody 's out in the public eye, that 's what they do. So I 'm fully comfortable with who I am, what I stand for, and what I 've always stood for” (Clinton).

Throughout history, humans have decimated miles and miles of rainforests, which has led to multitudinous changes in the structure of these tropical ecosystems. As rainforest size diminishes, organisms in the Amazon have less space to permeate, which can ultimately influence trophic cascade in the ecosystem. Habitat destruction can entirely wipe out certain types of species, destroying nutrient cycles in the ecosystem. Essentially, trophic cascade is prevented by the presence of specific organisms in the rainforest, but overpopulation of one species can have calamitous effects.
“If I’d observed all the rules I’d never have gone anywhere” Marilyn Monroe once famously said. Over the course of the legacy unit we have learned about various figures that have left behind their own legacies, good or bad. Then we were tasked with the job of choosing a single person and doing the research about them. This was so that later we could write a speech and paper on what we learned and apply the writing skills we had been working on. Marilyn Monroe stood out due to the fact that she was a good person who struggled with the darker parts of herself progressively as her life went on. Nevertheless, she still managed to achieve her dreams and inspire others to attain theirs as well.
Both To Kill A Mockingbird and the book The Hunger Games share a theme that shows courage stems from fighting ones internal fears. In the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” Boo Radley is known for being an a mysterious, antisocial and Crossover with occasionally violent boy according to the way scout describes him “the doors of the Radley house were closed on weekdays as well as Sundays, and Mr.Radleys boy was not seen again for fifteen years.” (Lee 13). Despite Boo Radley being exceptionally shy he bravely steps out of his home to cover scout with a blanket after a recent fire “Boo Radley. You were too busy looking at the fire you didn’t know it when he put the blanket around you.” (Lee 96) .Boo Radley fights his internal fear
In a terrible turn of circumstances on the early morning of August 5, 1962, 36-year-old Marilyn died in her sleep at her Brentwood, California home with the phone attached to her hand. Rumors speculate of an overdose or intentionally killing herself. There was also speculation and gossip of having an affair with John F Kennedy and that she was about to go public with what she knew about JFK and Bobbi Kennedy. Also that she was murdered by 'government agents' to safeguard the president. Another conspiracy incident was that Marilyn was killed by the mafia as punishment to the Kennedy's for their attacks on them, and to expose Kennedy's many love affairs. She has taught me that it is okay to be an outcast. She has showed me that you do not have to be a size zero in order to be beautiful. Marilyn Monroe was more than just a sex icon to me; she is someone who showed me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It does not matter what anyone has to say about you, you have to have confidence within yourself in order to succeed in life because you are always going to have someone who doubts you and your abilities. You cannot let someone define who you are YOU define who you are. YOU reach for your goals and do not let anyone get in the way and stop you from achieving your goals. If you believe in yourself and have enough confidence you can achieve anything you put your mind to. Marilyn Monroe had a strong desire to be seen as being more than just a model, actress, sex symbol and celebrity; many of the things she said was an attempt to shed light on who she was as a person and to remind people that there was much more to her than just a pretty face. Marilyn Monroe has taught me that no matter how badly I could fantasize on wanting to be someone else whether that being a celebrity or someone I look up to, it will never happen; it is a huge oversight because it takes away my confidence because I am so focused and set on wanting to be someone else. Monroe showed me that it is okay to admire someone else but I need to be happy and confident in my own skin and accept myself for

A good person is typically a person who has empathy for others, tries their best to make good decisions, and follows the law. After reading this description, of what a good person is, celebrities would not typically be the first group of people that would pop into your head because of their bad reputations, but that doesn't mean that all public figures are known for their bad choices.
