From the many American presidents who held office over the span of such length, the man who stands out as the best president would be our 35th president, President John Fitzgerald “Jack” Kennedy, who held 56 years ago. Kennedy, who is more commonly known as JFK, remains the youngest elected president to this day. Sadly, he is also the youngest assassinated president. Elected in 1961 and assassinated in 1963, JFK accomplished in 1,000 days what some presidents thrive to achieve in two full terms.

Their major accomplishments to American society including becoming the first African American congresswoman helped them earn their place in history as an important African American.

Throughout life, African-American men and women have influenced many aspects of my life down to the way I handle situations in minor instances. Specifically, an African-American woman by the name of Marilyn Mosby has influenced not only the way I do things but the course I want to take in a career aspect. James Monroe entered the College of William and Mary at 16 years of age in Williamsburg, Virginia.
