Fish & Manta Rays
There are many different types of fish, but there are four classes: jawless fish, cartilaginous fish, ray-finned fish, and lobe-finned fish. Jawless fish have no jaw but have teeth like the lamprey. Some cartilaginous fish lose their teeth but eventually grow them back like manta rays and sharks. Finally, lobe-finned fish, which are uncommon and rare, are named after their large lobe-like fins. These fish live deep in the ocean and includes the lungfish and, the thought to be extinct, coelacanths. Manta Rays are unique because unlike most in their family such as skates and rays they glide through the open water. The Manta Ray is located all over the world except for cooler climate zones. Manta Rays have a filter in

Imagine you are in the middle of your typical day-to-day activities. Maybe you are driving, spending time with family, or working. If you are like most people, your phone is at your side on a daily basis. Little do you know that, at any time, police and law enforcement could be looking at information stored on your phone. You haven’t done anything wrong. You haven’t been asked for permission. You aren’t suspected of any crime.
The Holocaust was a tragic event that traumatized millions around the world forever. From broken hearts to family deaths, we will never forget those who lived through these haunting times. Those who lived in concentration camps were locked up, and yelled at everyday to do specific things one way. Otherwise, they would be killed. Since the camps were so full of people, diseases spread easily and food was scarce. The prisoners throughout the camp then began to starve and die off. From this derived the term of the “musselmen”. A musselmen is a prisoner of a concentration camp that is neglectful towards their appearance, and are inactive or dementive. As time continued on, starvation and disease throughout the camps caused many changes in the prisoners, which led them to become musselmen. The changes within these musselmen included a drastic difference in their appearance, mental state, and how their disease tortured them as they drifted between life and death.
Scientists speculate that rays diverged from sharks about 20 million years ago during the Jurassic period (Poortvliet, 2015). The Chilean Devil ray (Mobula tarapacana) is also a close relative to the Mobula ray, with the estimated time of divergence at 18.3 million years ago. The body shape of the devil rays we see today is from an evolutionary change of about five million years ago. The Spinetail Mobula Mobula japanica is the closest relative to the Mobula. These two species are so physically similar that distinguishing between the two can only be done by experts. However, it is spineless, which separates it from the Spinetail Mobula and the Devil Ray. Because Mobula mobular and Mobula japanica are so hard to distinguish from one another, some scientists speculate that the range in which Mobula mobular live and breed could be larger. The blips in the fossil record leave us
A Manta Ray is a large devil ray that occurs in all tropical seas . It is seen leaping high out of the water . There 2 types of Manta Rays ; the Reef Manta (Manta Alfredi) and the Giant Manta Ray (Manta Birostris) . The largest species is the Giant Manta Ray , obviously ,it measures up to 9 meters long . Manta Rays eat zooplankton .
The megamouth shark (Megachasma pelagios) is a species of deepwater shark. It is rarely seen by humans and is the smallest of the three extant planktivorous sharks, besides the whale shark and basking shark. Since its discovery in 1976, few megamouth sharks have been seen, with 61 specimens known to have been caught or sighted as of April 2015, including three recordings on film. Like the other two filter-feeders, it swims with its enormous mouth wide open, filtering water for plankton and jellyfish. It is distinctive for its large head with rubbery lips. It is so unlike any other type of shark that it is usually considered to be the sole extant species in the distinct family Megachasmidae, though suggestion has been made that it may belong
The Terminator Fish Bat is something that should be part of everyone's big game fishing gear. This bat enables you to take out even the largest tuna or marlin quickly and easily. Having a large fish such as one of these flapping and flipping around in the boat is dangerous. This is something that can easily lead to an injury that would be a disappointing end to what should be a fun day out on the water. A fishing bat gives you the help you might need to put a stop to this potential danger before it starts.
Mayans, Aztecs, and Spanish-Mexicans; these are the stepping stones to the Mexican people of today’s world. Each had their own way of doing things and built upon each other in every aspects of life. The food customs and what is consumed has not changed in as much what is now considered a delicacy and what is considered normal in their culture. These customs compared to the Western culture seem naive, native, and uneducated. Where did these customs come from? What traditions are kept? What needs to these met? These questions will be answered in the following paragraphs.
Fish started to evolve during the Cambrian explosion. Early fish fossil records act for by a small group of fish that are jawless and that have armored scales, which are known as ostracoderms. Jawless fish lineages are mostly extinct. An extant clade, the lampreys may indefinite ancient pre-jawed fish. The first fish with jaws were found in Placoderm fossils. The range of jawed vertebrates may indicate the evolutionary advantage of a jawed mouth. It is not clear if the advantage of a hinged jaw has a stronger biting force, improved respiration, or a combination of
Most everyone thinks sharks eat just about everything but that is just not the case. Most sharks eat smaller fish. Larger sharks prey on seals, sea lions, squid, octopus, and rays. Sharks do not usually hunt humans. When they attack a person it is usually just a mistaken identity. Or they feel threatened in some way. They will usually let go of the person after the first bite.
For example, the Great White Shark primarily hunts in the east and west US coast, Gulf of Mexico, New Zealand, Hawaii, and many more places. The Great White Shark is known for migrating to unusual places like more recently they have been spotted in some places in New England which is odd. According to Sharksworld.com, it states “They dwell in waters as deep as 300 meters usually but can reach up to 1200 meters in the zones illustrated. As it can be seen the east and west US coast, the gold coast, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, the Mediterranean Sea, West Africa, Japan and East China.” The Great White can be found in many places, but some more populated than others. Now for the Thresher Shark they are commonly found in the Pacific and Indian oceans but depending on the specific type of thresher sharks depends on where they are found. For instance, the Pelagic Threshers are found more in the Indian and Pacific waters and sometimes in California/Western Mexico, while Common and Bigeye Threshers are more found in North America, South America, and even African coasts. According to Discovery.com, it states “Pelagic threshers are only seen in Indian and Pacific waters, along with the coasts of Taiwan and the Philippines, as well as off the coasts of California and western Mexico. Common and bigeye threshers can be spotted along North American, South American, and
The boating industry has suffered serious revenue losses since the 2008 downturn in the economy. Our strategy for Sea Ray of Knoxville minimizes risk yet strengthens and refines the current marketing campaign. Analysis indicates a concentration on families and communities would coincide with Sea Ray’s current image that “Where land ends, life begins.”
Veterans are coming home to their family and country in happiness and proud for what they have to sacrifice. Unfortunately, not every Veteran have the chance and the recognition that they deserved. For much Veteran return home from war is a struggle because of their disabilities. These disabilities can be from their combat injuries, the humiliation of government dependency, and mental illness that the veteran suffers from war. When these brave soldiers came back home according to the Los Angles Time: "In the 1980s and 1990s, male veterans were more likely to be in the labor force than nonveterans. But since 2000, that has changed dramatically. Now there is a 4% gap between veteran and nonveteran labor participation, with veteran participation
Their bodies are also shaped somewhat like a torpedo to give them a more streamlined affect in the in water. Yet, some types of sharks, the ocean dwellers have a flat body similar to that of skates and rays. Sharks can travel with great bursts of speed especially when attacking their prey or when excited. The fastest-swimming sharks have a moon-shaped tail that provides extra power and durability for swimming.
Most of the leaders are running ethical companies, but there are some of businesses running unethical companies that caused company to break down for some reasons. One of the problems of this is that some of the leaders lied, and they act in a manner that is entirely unlawful or wrongful.
