“Protest beyond the law is not a departure from democracy; it is absolutely essential to it.” - Howard Zinn. Howard Zinn is not the only one who protested for human rights. The importance of youth involvement in community affairs cannot be stressed enough. Teen activists are believers, they are people who want to change the world, people that care, they are amazing, and they are brave.Malala Yousafzai is courageous because she spoke out for her rights while Alana Rosie West is dedicated to destigmatizing mental health care and ending cruelty to animals.
People in the world are too comfortable in their own lives, so we are very lucky to have people who speak out for their rights. Teen activists are very brave, they are very brave because, they don’t know what other people are going to do to them. They may get hurt doing what they are doing for the people. They are also brave because they take the chance and

Malala was only 15 when she was shot in the head by the Taliban because she protested against them. Luckily, she survived and is an inspiration to everyone. Teen activism is youth engagement in community organizing for social change. “We realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced” states Malala. Unlike many people she had the courage to speak out for what she thought was right. Malala is strong and a symbol of hope. Alana Rosie West studies, social work and human rights. Alana serves on a youth advisory board for the organization Headspace, which is a national youth mental-health foundation, and helps run campaigns and events. Alana states, “Keeping animals in captivity is wrong and heartbreaking and I am extremely passionate about spreading awareness of the mistreatment of these cetaceans. I was stoked when Blackfish came out as finally the world is beginning to see what I have seen for years”. The world is so lucky to have her as she shows her determination to speak for what she thinks is
She speaks out against girl’s rights. According to www.biography.com, in 2013, she gave a speech to the United Nations and published her first book, “I Am Malala”. In 2014, she won the Nobel Peace Prize. When she was only 14 years old, she was shot in the head by two Taliban men. Taliban is a group of people who refers to itself as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is a Sunni Islamic fundamentalist political movement in Afghanistan currently waging war within that country. She was riding home from school on a bus when two gunmen jumped onto the bus and asked who Malala was. When her friends looked at her, the gunman pointed at Malala and fired. Along with Malala, two of her friends were shot. The bullet went right through Malala’s head and neck. Magical, she survived. Even after she was shot, she continued to speak out for girl’s
Teen Activists have to have courage. An example of this is, Iqbal who was once a child laborer, speaks about his time in slavery. In the article, “How To Help”, Karen Fanning states, “His parents had sold him to pay off a $12 debt.” I don’t know about you readers, but quite frankly this makes me sick. Iqbal was just a 4 year old little boy when his parents had sold him. “For six years, the small boy spent most of his days crouched over a small
Activists are people who speak up for rights or demands no matter what, even when they are threatened, some are older and some are younger. The three teen activist that are in this essay are Rowan Blanchard and Malala Yousafzai .They are helping kids and teens with difficulties they have, like bullying, education and human rights.
Teen activists have to have a hard-working attitude, since they will face challenges and have to overcome obstacles. Finally, they have to have the will and strength to fight for what they’re passionate about. All teen activists have to have hard-working attitude. Alex got punched, kicked and bullied every day, but still went to school and kept pushing through is problems. Another example is Malala, she stood up for girls rights and even after she was shot in the head and luckily survived she still kept speaking out to people about rights for girls, for example she said,” We realize the importance of our voices when we are silenced.”
Have you ever wanted to change the world? Well that is what a teen activist does. Teen activism is someone who believes in something and then fights for it.. It takes a lot of courage to become a teen activist because you could risk your life standing up for what is right. Teen activist stand up for problems by fighting for different causes, teen activist also are passionate for the things they are fighting for, and teen activist face obstacles and challenges.
Many teen activist aren’t very different from each other. They have common qualities that help them be a better activist. These common qualities help them be better at what they do and help them make the world a better place for those who are experiencing the problems of what the activist is fighting against. Some examples of common qualities that activists have, are that they give up their personal time to fight for their cause, or that they have compassion for those around them. They can be very brave as well.
Around the world, many people are afraid to speak their minds. Teen activists inspire people. They are believers who want to change the world. They want to stand up for something that they believe in. What they do for people is very beneficial. They all have motivations for what they do. These teen activists all persevere and do all that they can to get their point out to the world. They all help people along with them selves. I noticed that they will never give up and they will try their hardest. For example, Malala was shot through the head with a bullet. Although that happened she didn't give up. Alex has been helping with the environment since he was in fifth grade. He probably went through some tough choices and difficulties,
Do you know what teen activists are? Teen activists are people who stand up for what they believe in. Just like Malala Yousafzai, Faye Carey, and Emily Rigel. Every single one of these people will have obstacles in their way but they never give up for what they think should be right in the world that makes them very brave. If you want to be a teen activist you have to accomplish all of those things.
Teen activists are kids who not only want to make a difference, but are brave enough to try. Teen activists are kids that do whatever they can to help the world. They are compassionate for those less fortunate, they befriend those who are in need of help, and they try to have more people to come and help. Teen activists all have one more thing in common to become a teen activist, either the activist has had personal struggles, seen someone or something have personal struggles, or they read an article.
One thing that teen activists give up most is their personal time. For example, Faye Carey spends about 2 to 3 hours everyday in her shelter helping the animals in there get adopted. She also spends personal time at home every week at night posting pictures of puppies and cats in the Facebook page. She spends a lot of time caring for the animals at the shelter who do not get adopted. There are other teen activists, but one of them spends a lot of fighting for his cause is Alex Lin.
Teen activist have to be brave. Malala got shot in the head by the taliban a terrorist it said from her book I am Malala and recovered and still talked about what people needed to know. Staging.wecharity.org said how Iqubal was sold when baby and put in child labor then when 12 escaped and spoke out for child labor and 5 months later was murdered. Alex Libby from daymail.com spoke out how he was getting teased and stabbed with pencils on the bus.
“They will not stop me. I will get my education if it is in a home, school, or any other place” these are the words of Malala Yousafzai, a Nobel peace prize winner, a human rights activist, and a Pakistani girl, who has traditions, stories, and a unique experience. She was named after Malalai of Maiwand, the greatest heroine of Afghanistan, and she lives up to her name as a heroine for girls education. Despite the cultural traditions of Malala Yousafzai’s community, she has grown as a world leader in spreading world peace throughout the globe, through her challenges, her accomplishments, and her growth in publicity, with her common goal being an education for all girls.
Teen activists fight for what they believe in to show they are passionate and determined. Firstly, Malala Yousafzai is a teen activist that wants girls to get educated.
Teen activists always have something that they are fighting for. Something that they believe in so strongly. One example of a teen activist is Malala Yousafzai. A group of terrorists called the Taliban came to Swat Valley, Pakistan where she lived. The Taliban believed that women should not be educated. This is significant because, they would bomb schools who allowed girls, but, still Malala continued speaking out about women's education. During an interview with Jon Stewart, Malala said “why don’t we stand up for our rights?” She really believed in something and she was willing to fight for it. Another teen activist is Faye Carey. She is against animal abandonment. She has a Facebook page where she advertises puppies that have ended up in the pound, on her page and tries to give them a new home. Although, she has not done anything really big yet, she is inspiring others around the world and still making a big difference. Alex Lin is also a teen activist. He wants to stop people from throwing out so much toxic waste. He wants to prevent people from throwing away lots of old electronic waste. Alex Lin will take all of this waste and fix the computers. He will then use
Like, with Alex libby no one stopped him from trying to stand up for bullying. Same thing with Emily-anne rigal no one stopped her from trying to stop bullying either. Also, with Valens ntamushobora no one stopped him for standing up for women’s rights, but i can’t forget Malala Yousafzai she was shot in the head by 2 gunmen but that didn’t stop her from what she think is right. These teen activist impact my life because like Alex and Emily i’ve been bullied before and when i read about them I just thought this has a really big impact on my life and with them trying to stop bullying, and it makes me feel like I can be a teen activist too. If you know something isn’t right wherever you are stand up for it. Everyone in this world is brave enough to do anything. Don't let anyone bring you down you are brave enough to stand up for anything you want, because no matter what you will have
