Malala Yosafzai: A Good Examples?

The article, “Malala the Powerful” by Kristin Lewis, describes the roughness of Malala, a Jewish girl, who like many girl Jews, crumbled in the hands of Taliban. Malala was alive when the Taliban took over Pakistan. She and many other girl jews were kicked out of school and forced to follow all these stitched rules. In 2009, Malala took action and started a blog. She talked on T.V shows about how hard life was like and was standing up to the Taliban. In 2010, the Taliban shot Malala in the face but she and many other Jews still survived. Though she lived in rough and tough challenges, Malala show lots of courage trying to stand up to the Taliban and their powerful government.

Malala Yousafzai being a completely different person that any girl in her country demonstrates the gruesome ,and savage nature of the men and women in the country of Pakistan. She not only shows the unawareness driven by fright among the people there, but displays how horrid it truly was. Influences of a misinterpretation form of Islam yield the innocent under the hands of the miserable forces of the evil such as the Taliban. Subsequently, the country of Pakistan under Taliban rule has gone through continuous fear and discriminations that strip girls from their education. Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani women who only wanted an education, was obligated to view her life at its worst and at the same time, view the desire and dreams of girls who brawl for there education that they have been denied.

She was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for her courageous actions. In the middle of her speech, she said “I have two options. One was to remain silent and wait for the dead to be killed.

In 2012, word of Malala Yousafzai spread around the world. She had been shot in the head for standing up for girls’ education. Malala is a teenager who displays many attributes that all heroes show, no matter what time period they are in or how old they are. These attributes consist of courage, determination, and selflessness.

One teen activist that changes the world is Malala Yousafzai. Malala is a young girl who believes that everyone should go to school even if they are a girl. She comes from a small town in Swat Valley in Mingora were girls can’t go to school like boys. Therefore, she started to take a stand and got the attention of a terrorist group call the Taliban they didn't want girls to go to school in the first place, they didn't like Malala’s stand. The Taliban thinks that it would be educating the whole family and the Taliban wouldn't have much control. According to the book “Malala Yousafzai,” the Taliban tried to assassinate her, they hoped on a bus and asked the bus driver who was Malala no one answered but they glared at Malala, they fired the gun 3 times, they shot her in the head right above her eyebrow, it went through her head and in the shoulder, the other bullets wounded her friends. She got paralyzed on the left side. Many people didn’t think that she wouldn’t survive. One day a miracle happened and she finally woke up. Her dad told her to stop but she didn’t keep quiet. This shows that Malala is brave because she didn't stop she tried all she can to keep going.

Millions of young girls aren’t given the freedom to go to school. In countries such as Pakistan, young girls are advocating to their right to freedom. Among these advocates is Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistan native who exercised her right to education and was shot in the head at the age of fourteen. She survived and today she represents millions of girls across the world. Malala represents how courage comes from all corners of the world.

Malala is a great activist for our world. For example, she has a big part of the inspiration for education. In her homeland, Taliban told girls they weren’t allowed to go to school or dance, play outside, sing etc. She believed girls had much of a right to go to school as boys do. Malala started to go to the boys school as one of her own rights. At this point, the Malala become a target to the Taliban. She was fourteen and the Taliban struck her on the bus with a shot in the head. She was hit in the head but missed a little bit by her skull. Throughout the span of the human race, many people and organization have stood up for the right of others. Some scientists raced against time to produce vaccines that saved millions if not billions of lives. On the other hand, many speakers traveled across the globe to promote individual’s freedom and rights. In wartime, more people regardless of their backgrounds worked tirelessly to save lives of many individuals who faced genocide. Undoubtedly, history has foretold that at any moment in time, people are working tremendously so that other people may have a better world to live. Regarding education, Malala Yousafzai, known as Malala, has put all her efforts in promoting education to every child living on earth. She was a target of an insurgent group, but now she is the savior of many children. Thanks to her works, many children now have an education which they have never once dreamed they would have. Her moral courage will be a legacy that she leaves for humans.

Malala Yousafzai was a talented and brave young woman who had one goal in life: to get an education and encourage others to do the same. Born in Pakistan, Malala did not grow up with many resources, but she was lucky enough to have a father that shared the same goal as her. At the young age of fifteen, she was shot in the face by the Taliban for standing up for girls’ rights to an education. Although the recovery time was long and hard, the Taliban did not silence her as she continued her campaign. This eventually led her to opening her own school in Yemen and writing the novel I Am Malala. As someone who highly values education and bravery, her story made me interested in learning more about her culture, family, and experiences.

The gender equality issue has affect women from reaching equal opportunities, equal dignity, and the right to live without discrimination.
