There are times where we as human beings make choices we later on regret and feel remorseful about. No matter the number of times we make incorrect choices we eventually feel regretfulness; this is a natural human reaction. This essay’s center of attention is regret. The quote I will be referring to is: “I had most need of blessing, and “Amen” Stuck in my throat”. (2.2.34-35), Macbeth says this to Lady Macbeth. In this personal essay, I will be talking about Macbeth’s reaction to his murder of Duncan, an experience of my own, and the similarities between the reactions of the two scenarios altogether relate to the quote.
This quote relates to Macbeth’s reaction to his murder of Duncan because Macbeth feels a guilt of what he has done. However,

When I was in the 9th grade, I had a huge unit test in Science and I wanted to do really well on it. This test would decide our grade going into summatives and final examinations. Therefore, I put the necessary effort and studied well to be able to score significantly high on the test. The day arrived where I found out what I made on the test. To my shocking surprise, I only made a 70! I was devastated, I put in this much effort, with the confidence I had after taking the test and this result came out. All my friends got low to mid 90’s and some even got high 90’s. I was torn apart, when they asked me what I made I lied and told them I made a 94. They were not expecting any less since they knew how much effort I put into the test and they were proud of me. My experience goes in relation with the quote because I lied to my friends about what I got on a test because I did not deserved the grade I put the required effort for. Eventually, the guilt and remorsefulness started taking over me and it was horrible. I tried to pray and make it seem like what I did was acceptable, but it did not work. This experience goes hand in hand with the quote because even I tried to pray and utter God’s name but God wouldn’t help because I did something unjust and I was dishonest. Therefore, I started to feel guilt rise up inside my body. This paragraph explains how an experience of my own relates to the quote
A shocking story has developed overnight, with reports that King Duncan was murdered at Macbeth’s castle. Macbeth is now the Thane of Glamis and Cawdor, and he has revealed some shocking details about Duncan’s death. Macduff, Thane of Fife discovered Duncan’s body, with countless stab wounds.
Macbeth Essay Can Lady Macbeth be blamed for Macbeth’s killings? Can Hitler be blamed for the Holocaust? William Shakespeare must have thought of the most heinous person in history to have constructed Lady Macbeth in his play, Macbeth. In raw form, Lady Macbeth is the instigator of murder, the epitome of evil, and, ultimately, the insinuator of her own demise. From the beginning, Lady Macbeth was in favor of Duncan’s murder.
Ladies and gentleman of the jury, we were all just informed that Macbeth,a former loyal and honorable soldier is being charged with murder of King Duncan. There are also other suspects that Macbeth committed the murders of Banquo, Lady Macbeth, as well as Lady Macduff and her son. Macbeth never thought about becoming the king until him and his former friend Banquo ran into three witches one day. One witch said that Macbeth would be the Thane of Glamis, the second one said that he would become the Thane of Cawdor, and the last said that he would be the future King (1.3.49-51) . Why would Macbeth want to kill the ones he love dearly? If he did what was his motivation? Macbeth cannot be charged for any chargers that can not be proved.
The character who should be blamed for King Duncan’s death is Macbeth. Macbeth actually killed Duncan. No other character killed King Duncan (of course I know that having two murderers is impossible—improbable, Shakespeare could have written in two murderers, but it is fairly obvious that only one person, Macbeth, killed King Duncan— , but this is just in here to add “more detail and enrich this paragraph”). In our legal system, he would be punished because he was the one who commited the murder.
Macbeth's Murder of Duncan in William Shakespeare's Macbeth Various different influences act upon Macbeth causing him to murder Duncan. The main ones are his ambition, his wife and the witches. At the beginning of the play, Macbeth is a brave warrior, described as noble and valiant, who knows his place and is a loyal servant to the king. Then a small seed planted in his very fertile head, grows very quickly.
Have you ever wondered how many people it takes to murder one person? Shakespeare writes about a murder that has happened in one of his great tragedies. In the tragedy of Macbeth, a murder happens, but more than one person is involved. Macbeth himself sends three murderers to kill two people. Two of the murderers are named and described, but the third murderer is not.
In the original play of Macbeth, Macbeth only had second thoughts about Duncan's death in the beginning, after that there was no stopping him because there was no doubt in his mind that he wanted him dead. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth had come up with a very thorough and thought-out plan that was described in detail of how they would kill Duncan and what would happen. However, in the movie of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth acted very differently when it came to taking Duncan’s life. They were both very unsure and hesitant of when and even if they should take Duncan’s life; they were given multiple opportunities for both of them to kill him, but they continued to wait for the perfect chance, which happened later than they had planned it to.
Early this morning at the castle of Inverness Sir Macduff arrived to wake the good King Duncan, where he was found stabbed and bloody in the bedroom he was sleeping in. The King's groomsmen were suspected, as they were found still asleep covered in blood, with their daggers still in hand. This enraged Macbeth so much that he killed the two. When Lady Macbeth heard the news she was so distraught that she fell unconscious, many people rushed to her side to see if she was okay, taking attention off of the Duncan murder. Meanwhile, Duncan's sons were fleeing to other countries, placing possible guilt upon them. So Macbeth was crowned king instead of the rightful heir Malcolm. How will Macbeth handle his newfound power?
In Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the repercussions of Macbeth murdering his King are very numerous. Through themes that include, imagery, soliloquies, atmosphere, and supernatural beings, Shakespeare enforces the magnitude of Macbeth’s crime. Most of these factors are linked together.
At some point in our lives we are all faced with difficult emotional discomfort. One of the toughest parts is choosing what we perceive to be the right course of action. “Forgiveness is essential for healing and experiencing our wholeness. Yet, in order to experience our wholeness, no part of us can be repressed, denied, or overlooked” (Casarjian, pg. 48). This part of the book was very relatable to me.
The tragedy of Macbeth included many deaths, but there was no given answer about who was held accountable for all the deaths. The killing of King Duncan was triggered by both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Even though both were involved, Lady Macbeth was most responsible for the killing of King Duncan because she is the more evil character, she manipulated her husband into doing it, and because she established the details of the plan to kill Duncan.
