On May 11th, I was denied admission to Husson University’s Masters of Business Administration program. With no reason provided or official denial letter, I was taken aback as I wasn’t sure what the reason for my denial would be. After speaking with my adviser Jennifer Flynn, I learned that the Husson University MBA program is more rigorous and GPA-oriented than the B.S. of Business Administration program which I graduated from this month.
After working with two other graduate schools in Maine and examining their programs closely, I believe that my personal best interest is to continue my education through Husson, where my path to an MBA is both expedited, and competitively priced. Continuing my education through my alma mater allows me to stay with a school I am familiar with, significantly advancing my

Although Husson University’s online classes helped me gain valuable experience, I truly felt a lack of teacher involvement, something that I am certain will be rectified with the requisite to pursue my degree on-campus. I believe offering a conditional admittance to my situation will help show the board that I am confident in my ability to finish the MBA program, and I am willing to transition back to on-campus class settings to cement my aspiration of completing my
There are 890 million English language speakers in the world. That means if you are the average monolingual, English speaking American, you are unable to communicate with about 88% of the planet. That’s approximately 6,505,469,000 people, any of whom could potentially be your spouse or lifelong friend. The most gratifying part of learning a language is being able to communicate with new people and learn about different lifestyles, traditions, religions, and ideologies. Through NSLI-Y, I wish to continue to expand my global view and develop lasting connections with individuals.
My initial interest for applying to Radford University came about through an uplifting conversation I had with Danylle Kunkel, professor within the department of management. While attending a friend's basketball tournament who attends and plays for Radford University, Mrs. Kunkel and I met and spoke briefly about my aspirations for both business and management, and more specifically about my inevitably intention to turn my father's business "Z-Kabob" into a full blown franchisee. Long story short, she had given me some priceless tips about marketing decision-making, mentioning how Radford's entrepreneurship program couldn't have been a better fit for me. Her evident passion while educating me, and within business itself, is just one of the factors that makes me so eager and joyful to write this application with hopes of getting an acceptance.
The intent of this essay is to effectively convey my aspiration to pursue a Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. I have worked full-time in the construction industry for twenty-one years. In that time, my professional roles and responsibilities have evolved from craft foreman, supervising a small team of workers, to project manager responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of complex construction projects with a revenue range of over $100 million. The path to my present-day position has been less than conventional.
Babson excites me due to its highly accredited reputation within the business world. Many well respected professionals in this field are Babson alumni and in the future I can envision myself as a part of this esteemed group. I can see myself succeeding at Babson due to my work ethic. Throughout high school I pushed myself academically and with extra-curricular activities. These activities include playing sports, clubs and working at my local mountain. All of these activities have helped me understand organization, time management, how to work with a team and other useful skills that can easily crossover into a workplace environment. Working retail at my local ski mountain really helped open my eyes to the world of business, even though it was only at the consumer level. I could actively see economic principles effecting customers buying habits and how goods were stocked. As I further my economic intelligence more of these principles become apparent to me. As a

As a transfer student at Texas A&M, I demonstrate what determination and hard work stands for through staying self-motivated to attend my dream school. Prior to the start of my education, my family and I moved to this country in hopes of escaping crime and violence, seeking opportunities and freedom. I was able to undertake my own opportunities and enrolled at a community college while also working a full time job in an effort to pursue my dream of attending Mays Business School. Every year, thousands of students apply to Mays; however, Texas A&M only accepts 100 candidates to attend their business school. Because of this transfer process, I have become a motivated, persistent and dynamic individual who strives for success.
My recent decision to enroll in a university to continue and complete my pursuit of an undergraduate degree was not especially difficult. Selection of and commitment to a particular university was not as simple. Multiple factors including, but not limited to, price point, reputation, ease of access, and career relevance were weighed. I selected Western Governors University and remain very satisfied with this choice. Cost is a major determining factor, and one in which WGU holds a tremendous advantage over competing learning institutions.
In my Fall 2014 semester I was on the Dean’s list. As a student at Towson University I will excel academically and will be on the Dean’s list more than once, that is a promise I am willing to make. In fact, I am so confident I will be successful at Towson University that I have made it my top choice; I applied exclusively to this school. My dream of attending Towson University first began in the 11th grade. I was determined to get an internship in the fashion industry, and in the summer of 2011 I made it happen. Marsha, my boss at the time was, in the midst in looking for interns for her up and coming local TV show
Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” For this reason, I believe that everyone should have the best education as possible. Among all of the other university that are available for me, I choose Loyola Marymount University as the source for my education and I have never regret the decision that I made at the acceptance day. As an entrepreneurship major student in this University, I receive all the resources that I needed to be as an entrepreneur who can change the world. Loyola Marymount University programs are experience-based and globally relevant; they're designed to address the issues executives face every day. They provide the tools
I was fortunate enough this past summer to speak candidly with a local Top School alum who shared with me his experience in the program. Although he focused on a different area of management than I intend to, we shared a similar perspective on the MBA experience. It was refreshing to speak with someone who was deeply involved in the Top School curriculum who wholeheartedly endorsed the program to me based on my background, expectations of the graduate business school experience, and career goals. Like him, I don’t want to be pigeonholed into a narrowly focused technical management career as I am now. Although, I am responsible for the productivity and safety of 100-150 people on large commercial construction projects, which is very fulfilling, my duties are
The Seton Hall University MBA program will provide the opportunity to become one step closer to my professional goals. As an Engineering Technology student at Northern Illinois University (NIU) playing Division I baseball, I have learned an exceptional amount about myself in these past four years and the type of person and leader I hope to become. An MBA along with my athletic background and engineering experience will help achieve my career goal of entering the professional sports industry.
Through my interactions with Stanford Graduate School of Business’ (GSB) students and alumni, I recognized how much the school understands the value of individual’s exposure to various industries, new business ideas, and innovative thinking. Throughout the ages, Europe has been a place where foreigners go to seek adventure, history, the arts, education and romance. Since a young age I have been intrigued by the European culture in movies, history, food, books, as well as languages. After receiving my Master’s degree, I would like to live and perform in Europe, where I hope to also work as a translator. Because of my background, I have been determined to live abroad and explore from a young age. I am from a multi-cultural family and was raised with a great respect for traveling, learning languages, and understanding different cultures and practices. My mother is from Bogotá, Colombia and my father is of Danish and Italian descent. I grew up with both parents speaking Spanish in
