In early 60’s, Luxottica started out as a manufacturer of optical frames. Afterward, in 1990, Luxottica has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Moreover, Luxottica’s initial public offering was in February the 2nd, 1990. With the Acquisition of LensCrafters, a leading premium optical retail brand in North America, in 1995, Luxottica began being popular. Four years later, the brand started selling brands such as Ray-Ban, Revo, Arnette and Killer Loop. Besides, in 2000, Luxottica appeared on the Italian Stock Exchange (MTA) list. Consequently, this success led them to acquire Sunglass Hut, the world’s leading premium specialty sun retailer. The entry into the Chinese optical retail market resulted in the expanded distribution in North America and China. Accordingly, the company kept expanding and distributing in Canada, the Midwest United States, and Shanghai in 2006. Their first LensCrafters store in Beijing was open in 2006 as well. Also, with the acquisition of Oakley, the performance level of Luxottica formed a whole new level of success for the company. Although Luxottica has 7,265 retail stores with a vast network of third party stores in more than 150 countries, it did not become what it is today out of nowhere. What made Luxottica stay and remain in the top of the race is the latest designs and high-quality products they offer; the company has a remarkable vision about fashion, but their goal goes beyond that. Luxottica also cares about the health and wellbeing of their clients, and the mix of these two things, fashion and health, create an amazing product that provide to clients not only a good look, but also pair of effective lens either against sunrays or an improved vision, giving our eyes the best care possible. This shows how the company, besides giving customers what they need, also shows costumers how their wellbeing can be improved by wearing a pair of good looking glasses. Darkness is manifested through the reality within Cosi and the fantasy aspect contained in the play, Cosi Fan Tutte. The darkness behind the truth in regards to the nature of humanity is vastly explored. Louis Nowra has integrated such concepts within the comical play. Set during the 1970’s, the seemingly contemporary situations reveal much of the dismal reality most had experienced during that time.
