Decent Essays

Luna Christopher mumbles incoherent profanities under her breath, sinking into the edge of her torn motel bed. She stares blankly at the moldy flooring underneath her, salty tears flooding her eye sockets. Luna squints at the figure, trying to get a better look. She straightens out her clothing, hoping she can get her paycheck for tonight. Focusing into view is a young man, around the age of twenty. Luna cocks an eyebrow and wonders why a man so young is looking for a quick one night stand. As he advances toward her, Luna adjusts her vision and catches a crystal clear glimpse of the man. Luna is taken back by the low instensity of his voice. She stumbles back further. "Uh, hi," she nervously mumbles. "May I take you inside the diner for some drinks? I'd like to discuss something with you," the man politely asks. Luna purses her lips. She wonders why a man would pay for her dinner before taking her to a sleazy motel for a quick fuck. She couldn't tell if this is a normal gesture for prostitutes to encounter, so she took it without question.
