From the 31 Rules of Courtly Love, I agree strongly with rule 31. It states Nothing forbids one woman being loved by two men or one man by two women. Equally important there are many examples displayed of this type of love all over. For instance the television show Love and Hip Hop Atlanta that is broadcasted on VH1, it's one man and two women. Another example includes Sister Wives that broadcasts on TLC which is a television show that involves one man and five wives. However, the movie Twilight also has a love triangle with two men and one woman. Additionally, the most accepted are in a common religion of Muslims, one man, and up to four wives. This form of Courtly Love is now a practice that is showcased to the world in a manner of explanation.

If you remained on the side of following your beliefs, it shows that there is a large amount of integrity in your character. If you happen to witness somebody hurting or in pain would you either watch and walk past them, although you clearly notice that they are in pain, like everybody else or would you help them because they are in need, despite the consequences. Hopefully you are the type of person who will listen to their conscience and help someone, on the grounds that, they need it, and that takes an abundance of courage to accomplish. Integrity and listening to one's conscience are two crucial characteristics that every person needs to either exude, have or acquire.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. For many years, serving others has played a big part in the act of goodness. What about serving one’s self? Scripture tells people to love their neighbor as much as they love themselves. People can continue loving others, but if it hinders them, according to Rand, they should let it go. “Life is a choice we must make consciously and seriously, or else we may find that, by default, we have chosen the alternative: suffering and death,” says Rand.

When a person hears the word honor, a variety of images come to their mind: a heroic hero deserving of honor, a scholarship winner, or even the Gordon College Global Honors program. Jesus was the example who gave every single person on earth an honor they didn’t deserve: forgiveness of sins and an eternal life with him. How was he capable of endowing all humanity with this honor? Quite simply, Jesus is love. The giving of honor to another requires love, and not just any old love: God’s love. I believe that, just like the Apostle Paul, that each person has a life that like a mist, that appears for a moment and then fades away. During my short years on earth, I hope to love others by showing them honor, just like Jesus. I don’t want to waste my one God-given life serving myself and satisfying my own, fleeting desires. No, I want to live my life for Jesus, which is the only meaningful and satisfying life. This is exactly why I desire to be a part of the Gordon College community which purposefully seeks to pursue honor.

In society, people are so focused on themselves that they talk past each other. There is no concern for their fellow men and women. Christians are called to lead lives that are filled with kindness and gentleness, to be civil to those around us. Yet, being civil is more than good manners and tact. It also means to care about the larger society by having an inner politeness. This “inner’ civility” requires a deep commitment those God has called their neighbors. Christians are called to treat their theses neighbors with courtesy because they are human beings. John Calvin says that this public life shapes manners that are in accordance with civil justice.

In Barbara Graham’s “The Future of Love”, she says long-term fairy tale romance inspires true love believers and their perspective towards love itself. Graham expresses the idea that to her, a lot of relationships fail because both partners in the relationship fall in love with an idealistic view of who the other person is.
