Lori Grimes is known as the wife of Rick Grimes the main character of The Walking Dead. Lori is a wife and a mother who has been thrown into a world of chaos. What’s a mother to do, she already lost her husband who is presumed to be dead and now she only has one thing on mind and that’s to protect her son Carl from the living dead. Lori and her family are originally from Georgia; like most of the people in the group they traveled to Atlanta for shelter and safety. Lori had decided to walk into the woods without a weapon only to be pinned down by Shane from the back. There was no telling what could have happened; Lori could have very well been attacked by a walker or maybe even a stranger who could have tried to raid the camp site. Lori could possibly only have a single strength her son. Carl gives her a reason to flight a reason to live. She is a mother above all else she lost her husband the one person who was to protect her and her son so now she must protect her family in his place. I believe Lori could also have the ability to use people for her own benefit. She is seen to have a sexual relationship with Shane Rick’s best friend. What’s to say she isn’t playing her cards right and she knew she wouldn’t survive unless there was someone there to protect her and her son. The scene in the forest was one of importance, in this scene we witness Shane and Lori have sex but in between the mists of kissing and removing their clothes they stop and both are reminded of Rick. Lori was wearing a chain that held what I believed to be Rick or Loris wedding ring. She then proceeds to remove it but not before setting it down gently on the grass near her head.
