In the ocean, the lobsters communicate with each other in different way. Lobsters apparently communicate by urinating. The reason for this is because the lobster's nephropore rosette gland is located under the brain; the glands are connected to the urinary tract, so that they can produce pheromones. The lobsters enters its shelter backwards because there claws are at the front of the body, so it will defend itself by facing the main entrance of the shelter. Therefore, urinating out of their heads is the most direct route for the urine to reach the water around them. Surprisingly, when lobster of the same gender communicate, they fight. Mostly in the males, when a lobster come into another's territory, it will start a fight. They seem to fight
